- Can I beat Pokémon Emerald with a bunch of Normies using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Normal Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause); This does NOT include non-Normal Pokémon that evolved from Normal types!
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset (from Pokémon Challenges):
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

tbh that would be a cool idea, since its a reverse memento (kill yourself, halve enemys attack and spa)
I mean Rest exists and a 2 turn forced sleep is just strictly better than a 2 stage Stat drop.
@@jameswang9988 not necessarily. On a bulky mon that isn't using an attack stat, taking that drop worn matter much. Plus, you can switch after recovering, and when you come back, you can tank a hit, and immediately move

My rule for castform has always been that it counts for normal, water, ice and fire monotype playthroughs. It isn't the strongest pokemon out there, and you need all the help you can get in these types of things. Maybe thats cheatsy, maybe it's lame. But hey, if you can sweep with another powerful pokemon anyway, who cares? just have fun and use the little cloud.

I love normal types so much, so this video is one of my favorites. I know you personally don't see a lot of excitement in them, but for me, almost every normal type Pokemon is like a wild animal, much more than the other types. It's like playing with a zoo.
Man I love going back and watching your old Nuzlockes. Really shows how much you have grown as a creator, though these older Nuzlockes are still very entertaining as well! Sam the Vigoroth is definitely one of the 'mons you've had that deserve to be in a FlygonHD Hall of Fame.

Yes I love seeing normals get some love! Honestly my favorite type these days, they’re so versatile. I’m attempting a normal type only Nuzlocke of black and its super punishing to have even one Pokémon die. Would love to see you try it one day.

A challenging specific idea would be to only use middle staged evolutions in a nuzlocke! A gen 4 game would probably work best because a 3rd stage is added to a lot of pokemon, which created more middle stage pokemon

I've never audibly said 'no' to one of these videos but the death of Tom hurt me. Swellow is one of my all time favorite Pokemon. (so is Stuffel and Staraptor).
Swellow has always helped me in gen 3--I knew as soon as I saw counter---Swellow is dead. Still makes me upset.
I started watching your channel a couple of days ago in my opinion your content is amazing and it's refreshing to finally have a pokemon youtuber I can watch, with that said my suggestion for a video would be a mono bug run of hoenn based off the fact that there isn't that much variety to pick from, the moves are shallow and they lose to a lot of the type specialists there keep up the great work

Your channel blew up because its just really fun to watch. Everything about your pacing and style is good: your editing to focus on the important aspects (while not leaving the viewer totally lost), your explanations are always easy to follow, and your jokes usually land.
