    2. moisturize.
    3. enough heat, not too much heat.
    4. stay away from water/too much moisture.
    5. light oil.

Right. Like ur hair has a mind of it's on, trying to show off and shyt being on it's best behavior in front of the experts. Then a tantrum at home. Lol.
Also, some beauticians use products they dont even tell u about or show u.
      BUSINESS PURPOSES.
I've seen them put products in another bottle so u wont even know. Lol.
I say that to say, sometimes they use humectants or whatever to give ur style longevity. Make u come back for their services. Lol.

These tips work for me when the weather is cold. Nothing reverts and my pressed hair stays in tact. Other than that, most of the time I'm wearing a wash and go. I think straightening it should be for special occasions and only when the weather's cold. Our hair is not straight and not meant to be, unless you wanna train it that way. So all other times, wear it in protective styles, and little to no heat the majority of the time. That way when you do where it straight it will be beautiful, thick and healthy!

You ain't lying!! I thought it was cool enough to get a silk press or flat iron heat or ends clipped since 2012. Came out bouncing pretty in curls, got home and after a hr decided to pin curl it. Looked in the mirror and noticed my ends getting puffy. So I pin curled it,left it pinned and wrapped it up for two days. Literally just unpinned it and it was puffier than before. Just wrapped it not pin curled it in hopes that it will straighten out and not be puffy if not in a ponytail it goes until wash day hopefully it isn't heat damaged. I will cry if it is. All my natural hard work over these few years will be down the drain. Maybe if I decide to do this again it will be in December - February

    Yohanna
My hair has reverted back three times in hours after a salon appointment. Once the oven was broken and not heating up the combs and twice when both times my stylist sprayed a certain spray on both my hair and on my entire scalp, in between the curls. I do not perspire a lot but I notice when she (does not) use that holding spray my hair & scalp will dry without reverting when I perspire a little. Me and my stylist got into a big argument about this.
My reasoning is that this holding spray is a barrier not allowing my scalp to breathe or the perspiration to evaporate quickly. My recent press before this visit held for 3 weeks without the spray. She says I need to get a perm or maybe get another stylist. I know-- it time to part ways
What do you think about the correlation between hair reversion and holding sprays applied to the scalp and hair before and after curling the hair ?
Her ego is not allowing her to do my hair during regular business, salon days/hours but-- as the last customer of the day-- on a Sunday!! I believe so other stylist/clients can't see her redo me even through I'm paying full price for the service again.

I wear wigs and half wigs to Keep my hair protected. I recently got a half wig that's like a blowout texture, everytime I try to flat iron my leave out it reverts. I haven't had a trim in a long time, I need to get that done but in the meantime how do I get my leave out to stay how I want it without only trimming my leave out? I just started having this problem with my hair a couple years ago, I believe my hair doesn't get enough moisture but I just washed it yesterday.

Everytime I go to the salon...noone can straighten my hair...they cut so much off that didn't even need to be cut thinking it would help but I naturally have supervolume and frizz... literally....I do protein treatments every other week.....and my hair is just untameable...my curls are very moist and healthy so i don't have any problems with it being dry nor split ends. I never really had a problem with my ends lol my hair is super soft and when it gets straightened...it's turns into a nice soft fluffy..fro -_-.... I wrap it....it somehow gives me soft curls again....I'm starting to think my hair just naturally can't straighten...I mean I've been to so many salons in different states, different colors, and different skill sets that I though would do it....nope..

I guess because my hair is just frizzy to won’t take the heat(meaning that if I straighten it, it’ll look fluffy instead of a sleek straight look).
