I'm amazed how such a simple topic is taught like crap in 99% of the videos. This is truly amazing, that method of switching perspectives maintaining a fixed top is golden. Thanks.
Wow Colin! Excellent job. I was having a hard time searching for the method of converting Bond-Line to Fischer Projection molecules. Without this video, this could have taken me waaayy more time than now. So the time I've saved because of your amazing explanation skills, I will use to write a wonderfull comment under your masterpiece video. Kind Regards, Eddy Courtijn
This perspective helped so much. Haha I was running my head into a wall before this, but this on paper along with a 3d set helped hammer the principle home. You rock!
my professor was showing it in such a complicated way I thought i'd never understand it until I watched this. You literally made it so easy thank you!!!
I think there is a reason for shifting mini perspectives between C atoms. Firstly, Fischer projection stated that the vertical line is far away from you, and secondly this line should be for the carbon chain. When you shift the mini perspectives according to the rule on the video, the carbon line is always far away from you. Then the rotation in bond-line structure will match with the Fischer projection rules.
For those wedges I know that OH was dashed does that mean the other wedges are all coming towards us and are filled? Follow up question. We did not put our additional Hydrogens from the Fischer projection, do we assume those are dashed?
my biochem professor could never. she just threw us off the cliff like a newborn bird that doesn't know yet how to fly by commanding us to convert a molecular formula into a fischer projection without even demonstrating to us how it's done. soooo incompetent. i wish she stops lecturing in our uni for good. she needs more training when it comes to instructional teaching. lol.

This is by far the best explanation I've heard, thanks.

This should be noted as CHO
thanks for short and apt explaination
this was so helpful!!! thanks a lot
i thought the stick figure you drew was line angle with an Oxygen instead of the head and I was so confused lol
This really helped me before I had to take my final
Very helpful Video, Thanks.

Thank you so much i finally understand
I still dont understand smh
man you are great!!!!!!
very well explained thanks
How Br is on right side sir.
really helpful!! thank you
you are a godsend omfg

It's worked

You’re too much. Thank you
You Could've made it easier to understand for rookies if you hadn't used that ""perspective method""..Although it just worked fine for me!
That was the whole point of the video haha
TYSM
poorly explained this confused me even more lol
I got it,sounds like a you problem
this was the only thing I have seen so far that didn't confuse me,
