yes to the classic flap coming in single flaps and also I would love for that zipper compartment to go away, there is no use for it and it causes indentations on the flap. couldn't agree with you more about the YSL mini
When I first bought a Chanel classic flap it was a single flap. I didn’t know at the time there was a double flap. I really like it better than the double flap I bought later on.

Yes the small zipper is sooooo not necessary, I get the history of it but I does cause damage to the bag.
