That is some impressive visuals there , and it will get powerful with snapdragon 8 gen 4 coming later this year. in s25 series . this is on par with most consoles in the market
It does look really good for mobile game. It's still a lightyear away from the PS4 version. This mobile version is using a very generic light model even at your Epic preset. Basically all the textures glow at fixed color value. The character doesn't have self shadowing. PS4 also has the crap decimated animations for the pre-lobby enemies. All the shadows are better on PS4. It also doesn't have the really short shadow map cascade this mobile version does. I didn't look up a recent PS5 gameplay, but that was using Unreal Lumen last time I saw gameplay.
Alright, Mike. I did have a look at it in my PS4 and while it is good for certain stuff like shadows and load out distance etc. The resolution is nowhere near the phone. I personally like to play quite close to a 32” 4K monitor, crap eyesight, and the phone’s resolution just helps me more with small stuff in the distance, not being blurred. The one thing I would say though, is that for a phone, it does look awesome. Saying that, most people playing Fortnite seriously, which I obviously don’t. Switch off most of the eye candy anyway, at which point the phone gets a lot closer than what should be reasonably expected from such a small/low powered GPU/CPU. I just updated WZM to the latest one, there was another quick release bug fix a couple of days ago. The iPhone still melts itself and that mess with the S24 Ultra still hasn’t been fixed. In fact, I played it on the M2 iPad and it got very warm, almost hot, worse than it has in the past. There was definitely thermal throttling going on and the frame timing became very erratic. It looks like Activision have still got some ways to go if they can’t keep the thermals under control on flagships and if they’re having graphics/render problems on the latest Snapdragon. I don’t see how they expect this play on mid range or low end phones/tablets if the flagships are having so many performance issues. While it is still a lot of fun, I have to use a stupid amount of cooling to get a constant frame rate on anything I play it on. Maybe the S23 Ultra (SD 8 Gen 3) will be a different story when the graphics rendering has been fixed. However, I doubt that this supposed March/April release that people seem to be talking about, is realistic. There’s also the chance that they shelve the game? Cheers, Dave.
@@DavidHarry Disappointing to hear about WZM. I had hoped they were going to launch and synchronize with Warzone Season 2. However that's only a week away. I still haven't gone back to Warzone. They haven't fixed the audio, loadout glitches and the under the map cheat.
@@Mike5GSR To be honest, Mike. I find the entire WZ ecosystem to be problematic in some way or another on all platforms. I don't know if Activision are rush releasing stuff but they definitely don't seem to be thoroughly testing their WZ releases and don't seem to mind releasing with some serious bugs. While I can forgive them for some of the mess in WZM, as it is still a beta. Even with WZM they do break things that weren't broke as they are moving forward. As I only play for fun and don't team up with friends for a good strategic game, I'm mostly OK with WZM for the best part but still do find that I get annoyed with it. I'm just finishing an edit for this channel but I hope to get a few games of WZM on the go later with the new update on the iPhone. While it's still a thermal mess, I'm interested to see how the graphics are. I'll try and post some gameplay later on my gaming thing. I really do miss Apex Mobile, that game was solid and awesome. Cheers, Dave.
S24 ultra at 1080p 60 fps is truly better than any ps4 or xbox one or nintendo switch, you get lower graphics so that means that you have cleaner screen you can see enemies better and your input delay is lower, your phone doesnt sound like a jett engine, for me i would perfer playing on samsung dex over ps4, i have really bad experience with ps4's fortnite and its input delay and i for sure know that this is 100% better, even better if you get a cooler for the phone so it doesnt overheat
I agree, the S24 Ultra in DeX mode looks great with Fortnite Mobile. In my opinion, you'd have to go to a PS5, Series X or a decent PC to get something that's noticeably better for Fortnite. Not that I would recommend buying any expensive phone for gaming, as a PS5/Series X would be a much better choice. However, if you have a powerful phone, such as the S24 Ultra, then you may as well get the most out of it that you can, especially gaming. Cheers, Dave.
@@DavidHarry yes it is true that any new gen console is better but im saying for an old gen consoles and also imagine youre just someone that needs a good phone and you dont game that much and you sudenly just want to play fortnite or minecraft or gta san andreas or any retro game, and there you have it in your pocket just connect it to a monitor and controller and you got yourself a pretty decent console like experience
You made a mistake. Not even ps4 does native 4K. A “ps4” original does HD acctualy. Then this will do 60 consistent and put 92% 3dres as visually the exact same but makes performance better. And you should do 1440p if trying to make it compare to a “ps4 slim”
Great video and awesome quality! It’s a real shame that to play Fortnite mobile on your fancy $2000+ ultra device, you basically need to connect it to a TV. Otherwise, using the touchscreen turns your fingers into BBQ skewers! And don’t even get me started on DeX mode-aim assist? Gone, poof! It’s like they want you to feel like you’re playing with a potato. Now, if you think about getting the S25 Ultra just for Fortnite, hold your horses! You’d be throwing your money into a black hole of frustration. Epic Games clearly has an agenda to keep us chained to our consoles and PCs, like we’re in some kind of gaming prison. So unless you enjoy finger-frying while trying to build a fortress, maybe stick to your regular setup!
@@IzzalddinAlSadi Hi. My apologies, I misread your comment and thought you'd said Flip 4, sorry about that. Yes, all the Fold phones, just like the S series and Ultras, all do DeX. So yes, your Fold 4 will definitely do DeX to an external TV or monitor and it will essentially look the same as what you've seen in this video, aside from the graphics processing being a bit better on the S24 Ultra. The best interface for DeX to a monitor or TV is still the old Samsung DeX Station. Although any USB-C dock should work, most of them have certain latency (lag) issues sending the video signal to the connected TV or monitor via the HDMI output, which is why I still recommend the original DeX station. Now you can't fit your Fold into a DeX Station as it is too big. However, you can use a USB-C extender cable to connect your Fold to the DeX Station and it will work perfectly.
