Marinade in konbu and mirin would do the trick for the texture to be closer to salmon and tuna... with hint of sweet and savory. Also soy with a squeeze of lime and thin slice of jalapeño
Thank you for your effort to teach I enjoy when you guys explain things in deft, it is good stuff : I will use for my fishing expectations and thinking for my own works. Thanks
Awesome video man. I’m actually on the mob Jack bay going fish there tomorrow morning for some red. Definitely gonna try to do the sushi. Thank you for the video tight lines.
I'm having trouble getting the shrimp to pop. It's a pre lined rig so it should work right???! Maybe it is working but just doesn't seem like it when it gets closer to pier
You need a horizontal pull, as from a boat, wading or shore fishing. From a pier your pull is diagonal or vertical. Try pointing your rod down and sweeping the rod away from the cork.
Any tips on what to throw for 22”+ reds in 1’ of water on a flat sandy bottom? We saw some in a little inlet near kilmarnock, VA when we totally weren’t expecting them and all we had were mirrolure xls
Don't know how long you been using a popping cork but it's best braided line cuz it's less stretch and a blabbermouth is about one of the best popping coils
Love the informative videos you'll make. Bcuz of them I've purchased me a good set of MR17s and Zman Pre Rigged EZ Shrimpz soft plastic baits. I'm ready this year, once I settle on a good brand of popping corks to use. Any suggestions on the pooping corks?
Great video. Just Subscribed. If you're located in Florida??? I want to know if you could let me know of a nice lake I could fish on. I have been in Ocala for over a year, and just have no idea where to go. I don't want to put myself in a dangerous place, going in blindly. Would love ghe guidance. Also, I don't have a boat... yet. Thank you so much in advance. Again. Love the video and will be trying the Sashimi.
I have caught reds on tons of different things. Top poppers, mirrolure, live bait, Zman, etc. I have NEVER caught a red on a popping cork. Ever. I don’t get it.
I haven't either, but I understand the concept. I've gotten Specks with them, but not Reds. It was a nice explanation he gave about halfway through the video on his gear.
Yeah not a fan of the cork myself. I'll be just killing 18 to 22 inch trout with a doa cal 3 inch with no pooping cork, watch guys put up to the spot fish a cork for 20 minutes and leave. I'm sure it works for some people but I haven't needed it yet. Used to try it every time I fished but I'd switch up after a while and start catching without it. But hey if it works for you use it
Great channel. It is now my favorite because of the information you provide. I cancelled my Salt Strong after hearing the detail you provide

Awesome drone footage!!! Nice video. Very well done! Nice fish too. We aren't big sushi fans, but those are nice fish, and we do like catch-n-cooks.
Thanks for the tutorial. It worked out great for me.My son actually caught first 2 fish on this rig.
Very nice! Thanks for bringing great content and great job pulling in those reds!!
0:15 couldn’t agree more, some football this weekend, some redfish fishing next weekend... perfectly timed thank you!
@Robert R There you go!! I'd much rather be outside than watching football!!
Great description of why you use that certain rod with a popping cork, the average Angler would never know that .
That looks like some serious fun! I'm gradually building up my saltwater kit--just ordered some of those Z-Man EZ Shrimp in Root Beer today!
Fantastic footage and the Sashimi redfish looked absolutely amazing!!
What lb. main line were you using on the spinnin reel?
Plus last week on vacation went Morehead city catch red fish and mullets for bait and shrimps

How can you even talk about little bitty bass fish when you experience redfish lmfao 🤣

If ur drag was locked down ur under powered ! A 27” red will spool u in 30 seconds
Or fishy hands, save the money.

Football has gone to shit
It's not technically a catch and cook video because you didn't cook the meat lol.
