Thank you. It'll be nice once everything is done but that won't be for a while. We have multiple structures planned over a 4 year plan. I'd like to retire to a rocking chair by 40. We'll see if that pans out :)
Thanks! It's all a juggling of the resources. Right now we have to work with what we have BUT I can work some magic in editing to alleviate some of the wind issues going forward. Thanks for watching and I'll definitely work on the audio.
Unfortunately we do not have detached microphones. We do what we can with what we have. I will keep your comment in mind and try to find creative ways to make it work.
So, we are in the high desert and our temps peak in July around 103. The "tiny shiny home" channel is building with the same bags in southern Arizona and have had them exposed to the elements in excess of 6 months without any degradation. The idea with a proper fill material is that it sets into a block similar to adobe and shouldn't have to rely on the bag for structural integrity. Some folks have used items like scoria, vermiculite and rice hulls that do have to rely on the bags and once plastered they seem to do just fine. In episodes 6 & 7 which publish later this month I actually change the fill material to something I believe will set and support weight even better than our native clay rich soil. Thanks for your comment and interest. Stay tuned to see what changes take place. Let me know if I can answer any other questions.
That's a fantastic question. I will link the bags here but recommend calling Volm to discuss current pricing as prices are dependent on the specific size bag you wish to use and those prices can fluctuate depending on shipping and various other factors. My experience with the company has been very friendly and straight forward. volmcompanies.com/products/fencing-fabrics/hyper-adobe-tube-netting
Nice progress! 🙂🏜
Dude, so impressive. Seriously, brother, you did a ton of work in this video! Good job on the explanations, too.

How long with those bags hold up in desert areas where it gets to be 105 to 125 degrees in the summer months?

Can you give me an idea of how much the red bags are? Did you get them delivered?
