      Did you ever come out with the level 6 or 7 version of this? Regarding the 9T, if I have level 6-7 orange and I used a 7T would this cancel out the brass or would I need to add another color to the mix to avoid too much brass? I like the dishwater blonde (dark mushroom bronde) end result

    Disclaimer I am not a licenced hairdresser however to my mother woz in so I am fairly educated on toning techniques and have been doing my own hair for quite some years but I have to tell you of all the videos I have watched on UA-cam explaining shades acu in different formulations there has never been any video done quite like this and I think your content is absolutely amazing it's incredibly educational and I just recently subscribed I really want to support your channel in anyway I can and please keep doing this for those of us out there and just for everybody who during quarantine is doing their own hair And hopefully not making a hot mess out of it I'm recently I went to my hairdresser and she did in overall highlight with a few lowlights even though I really did want more of a Bali rage look the problem is she toned it with not shady Q and she used a processing developer to help lift a little bit additionally some of the brass and on my roots it lifted of course just like we know much lighter and so now I have hot roots. It'd almost coppery penny at the root only. Rest of hair is a level 9 with ashy tones
    What formulation would you recommend? The roots are a very coppery level 8 to maybe a 9

    Hands down best video on you tube for understanding the effects on blonde brassy hair using Shades EQ by Redken. Very informative and I love your idea of putting them on on one mannequin head to compare colors. I have been trying to get away from the orange/yellow brassy tones in my hair and was thinking of using Wella T18 but I already have several of these shades you mentioned in the video. Currently I'm combating rust orange roots so I'm going to bleach with the Redken Flash with bonder bleach on roots and then go in with toner Shades EQ 9P with 9T. Will this give me a soft silvery ashy blonde look? Don't want to be platinum but a soft bright ashy blonde so would I need to use the crystal clear in the toner and if so how much? I used Redken Color gel lacquers 10NA with Platinum ice Shades EQ 09V to tone last time with no crystal clear just processing solution and was extremely red/brown/blonde dark not at all what I wanted to achieve. I want to fix this and have a set formula to use every 6 weeks, I just cannot find the correct formula for the color I'm looking for?? Just can't seem to get this blonde shade correct and I don't want to go back to the salon again, want to do this at home and have invested in alot of Redken product already. Help?

    • @UrManeAveTv
      @UrManeAveTv  4 роки тому +2

      I think the first place to start is to have the right level of blonde to begin with.. It seems to me like you are not bleaching your hair to level 9/10 before using the toners.. to achieve the soft bright ashy blonde..I have used a combination of 9V,9P, 9T( 1/2oz each ) with Clear (1oz)... sometimes ( would add abit 9GI or even 9gb to that the color does not get too flat..Now i don't like throwing around formulas because each scenario is different and does not work for everybody...but you are on the right part of used the cooler toners to achieve the ashy blonde look...

    • @UrManeAveTv
      @UrManeAveTv  4 роки тому +3

      yes the 9B looks dark... because I left all the toners on there for the max time over 20mins...I also mentioned that the mannequinn head was bleached to as light as I could get...hence if it was lighter the swatches would not look too dark.. in real life salon scenario i will be using clear to dilute the formula or use the level 10 toners if the hair was bleached lighter...

      try using shimmering lights shampoo, you can get it on Amazon right now. (not sure if you are in quarantine) i recommend using it the first time for about 5-10 min. and once you get that "brassy orange" out use it every other shampoo.
      but you got to think about kindergarten and coloring.. in order to go from black to lighter.. the first 5 colors are RED, then whats lighter than red? orange, then orange-yellow, yellow, and pale yellow.
      Toner doesn't actually lighten hair, it just cuts the undertone of the hair, its neutralizing that tone you don't want. (color wheel)
      So if the purple shampoo doesn't help you will have to get get it lighter. hope that helps

      @@themotherspassport4458 Hello!
      Thank you for the advice! The thing is that I'm using a blue shampoo already and nothing has happened. I'm thinking to dye my hair again with a toner or a 8.1 dye and a 20 volume developer. What do you think about that? :)

    • @UrManeAveTv
      @UrManeAveTv  4 роки тому

      20vol is too high of a developer to use with a toner.. Use a 6 or 9 vol developer which will not shift the base of your hair... sometimes the blue shampoos will not make an impact and a toner is your best bet..a level 7 or 8 natural ash toner work for you depending on the current level of your hair.

      @@UrManeAveTv thank you! I dyed it again with a demi permanent dye of light ash brown shade because i had an orange colour not very nice..and now it's a nice colour but still dark.. I don't know how I will have a light shade and not orange or yellow.. it seems impossible..

    What if I have level 9, 8 and 7 in my highlights? Can I use 9P and 8V mixed together? Or has to be 7N and 8p? Or do I need to do it in different bottles?( I want to remove the brassy)

      i would use just 10gi and 10 with clear if you dont want to get too ashy..also if you hair s mostly a level 10.. I suggest you use a level9 toner instead of a 10

      I dont have a favorite per say but I use what works for the situation at hand...I do use 7p in most of my formulas to help cut down on the brass...

    Thank you for this video! I have a question for you... I'm a natural blonde, probably a 0 and I get highlights (bleach) foiled in with vol 20 + olaplex. My stylist also uses 8N lowlights with foil, 2 highlights to one lowlight. My stylist recently got very ill and cannot work so until I find someone new I'm trying to figure out how to tone my pineapple-looking hair! I naturally pull yellow/banana/goldish but not quite copper. Ideally I want bright, white highlights, dimension with my lowlights and overall a cool, but bright ashy color. I tried equal parts 09V and 09T with 1/2 oz clear but it ended up being a flat shade of slivery-gray, with almost a green hint in the areas that were the lightest. Overall my hair appears darker with little to no dimension as my highlights kinda disappeared. Should I add in 9N or 9NB or scrap 09T and instead use 09S? I also like the look of creamy, champagne beige blonde instead of super icy white but have not tried it yet. What would you suggest for that? 09V and 9NB? I have the following colors and I can get more if needed: 09V, 09T, 10N, 9P, 9NB, 9N, 9S and clear. I would love any recommendations you or another stylist would have for me. Thank you!

    • @UrManeAveTv
      @UrManeAveTv  4 роки тому

      whats 9S ? I dont think shades eq makes 9S.... the 9NB/9V combination should give you what you want without it being so flat..Also you can alil of 9gb(not too much) to your original formulas 9v/9T/clear to give the champagne beige.. Hopefully you can go back to your stylist soon have to mess with your hair too much at home. thanks for watching...

      @@hana2o Great explanation. I am wanting a bright icy white. I don't want it warm but also do NOT want that silver grey darkish look either so have also been looking for that perfect toner formula/combo! I've heard of stylists also recommending a dash of gold to violet to keep it from being to ashy & brightens it up supposedly. I haven't done my hair because I am waiting for that perfect combo lol. I will def be doing a strand test first though!
