@@kn1v3z2k It's not very good. There's another one out soon which seems a lot less clunky. Can't remember the name right now but it's a lot like Fallout Tactics with zombies from what I saw.
I would really love it if you kept following this game! I think it is such a cool idea and it is really cool when very respectable UA-camrs show case indie games and help them get a following and help them with some balancing
For that xcom melee only run, I think it should be "melee range". So in order to hit someone you have to be in melee range (end in an adjacent tile so ripjack can still be used). This is specifically for that immunity so you still have an option, and people like sharpshooters can still do ok. That being said this game looks interesting.
@Ron G but a sharpshooter can point blank with their sniper. Wouldn't be accurate at all, but if a chosen had melee immunity would make it possible to eliminate them still.
Whoa whoa whoa Drifter, i love the variety but back to the xcom mines. LW2 isn't gonna beat itself. Nice to hear your thoughts though, Undeadly seems like an interesting take on the formula.
Dude. You don't have to do a rookies only run. But I would recommend a series of increasingly rank-restricted runs until you feel like continuing is impossible.
The shotgun thing is a little frustrating. You should be able to fire a weapon past someone next to you, even if it’s something you have to spec into in order to have the team coordination
The developer has the color scheme for the movement points backwards. 1 movement point should be green, 2 should be orange or yellow, and 3 should be red, indicating that you've pushed your turn to the limit and won't be able to take a secondary action if you've moved the max distance in that turn. Also, assuming that they aren't completely devoured, bitten characters SHOULD become zombies after a certain period of time. And I'm not crazy about the rifts concept -- I like my zombie survival games vanilla. Overall, tho', I like this concept, and I would definitely support it if they put it up on GOG.
Hey I have an Idea for a Challenge. Can you beat Xcom 2 WOTC with the TF2 Mercenaries? there are 9 mercenaries in total The Scout, The Soldier, The Pyro, The Demoman, The Heavy, The Engineer, The Medic, The Sniper, and The Spy
I don't think there's any shame in using asset packs from the Unity store, but Synty Studios' POLYGON series is so incredibly overused. I recognize them instantly, it feels like every indie game and school project uses them. I think the only way to use them and still stand out visually is to go heavy with the postprocessing.
Hmm so if the 60 percent misses almost all of the time there might be a bug in the code and it's not actually 60. Hopefully they watch this or you relayed the info. Lol And that studying mechanic sounds so tedious. Like the mechanic itself sounds fine but the restrictive crap around it to make it so long is pretty bad
Everyone knows that it's impossible. Even in XCOM original. Not enough seats on the dropship. Even if you modded that. You'll die in base defense due to lack of damage output.
To be honest, it doesn't look like it offers a lot. You have maybe four or five gun types, it's just a numbers game and you learn to funnel foes through chokepoints and focus on upgrading numbers to be higher numbers. I don't mean to be a stick in the mud but it just doesn't seem like it has a lot going for it at face value. If you want to compare it to XCOM, you have a wide variety of how to deal with enemies and ailments, along with perks that can radically change what your agent does and their specific niche. Good example is the snoipah: either plink foes from across the map, or go full cowboy. Same with rangers, either have them focus on slicing up foes while able to dance through defensive layers... or whatever else they do if you don't want assured high damage.
To be fair it is early access and developed by 1 person, Its impossible to compete with a large well funded studio on features. Its a good start, Its obviously not done yet
Personally I have a hard time enjoying any turn based game that isn't Xcom, all these other games just look boring by comparison. I haven't played Xcom for HUNDREDS of hours or anything either to be fair though.
it looks kinda bad, otherwise i would def play been looking for a game like xcom w zombies or normal people instead of fricking aliens, every game like xcom is about aliens and it gets tiring, phoenix poiint was great. BUT ALIENS AGAIN
I have a feeling that all of these patreons are really just the obituary of the rookies only run
Most runs*
Shhhh! So you wanna join that list?
Always hoped for a tactical style squad based zombie game, this seems to hit a lot of the boxes. Looking forward to how this one develops for sure!
CodeMonkey is working on one, check his channel
check out Dead State. older game, but it's basically this.

would love to see u play a full run of it :)

So a "close range" run?
@@steelfox9061 Close range cresendo v2 coming right up.
I'm confused what you mean by this. For a melee only run you'd have to end in melee range. Would you not? And sharpshooters can't melee?

I don't know how much content is really here for you but i'd definitely watch a run, the game looks interesting so far.

Hey a lot of us want to see rooks only. I'm fine with it being a milestone because that is going to be ruthless lol
Awesome. Would love to see future updates about the game
had me at XCOM, time to see what’s up
The shotgun thing is a little frustrating.

What about in the meantime let's do a warmup: "no modular weapons, PCS, or psionics" run (and no +1 damage upgrades)
New drifter video? Of course I will come within seconds

Hey thanks for showing this game, really loved the ideia, I will for sure check it out, always wanted a turn based zombie game
rookies-only run, but you increase the amount of soldiers the game lets you have to like 8-9 (may have to expand spawn size)
Shouldn't the color scheme for movement be "Blue (1 action point), Green (2) Orange (3)?
I was thinking the same thing lol.
God save your soul when you hit 50k. That will be truly, truly agonizing.
I am just curious when the next part of your phoenix point narrative play through will be done. Love your videos and this game looks interesting.
I am working on it, but not sure when it'll be finished.
Hold on.
This is just xcom 2 lost only run
Like the Lost but on steroids
This looks like a TBS version of Dead State
I saw this and I was wondering if you were also going to be looking at Alien Dark Descent in the future, or other tactical squad games.
I do want to play Dark Descent, yeah.
This game has got a lot of updates but no forum traffic and no new youtube traffic - someone should revisit it and see how it's doing.
I think the big thing the game needs to get people excited again is a win-state.

Looks like a nice game
Very Nice
This seems good let's just hope it doesn't stuck in development hell
Have you played Rebel Cops? Similar to this but more S.W.A.T. themed
Got in on sale, thanks to your post. I'll have to check it out.
Game recommandations : Warhammer 40 000 K mechanicus :)
yay 3 action point system
i'm a simple guy. is there xcom on the video title? i'm on it
Прикольная игра, обязательно поиграю

New challenge run when??
Probably still a few weeks away, sorry. Life has thrown quite a few setbacks at me recently.
@@TheDriftersBroadcast :( sorry for you mate, don't stress yourself, I know being a youtube creator is a rat race
