Yeah brother I had an Ick on my fresh water system . Thankfully I don’t keep no invertebrates at the moment so I went smooth and was gone in a couple days. Again Im thankful that you spread awareness on medication!!! People just tell you dump this on their tank and ends up killing some of their favorite fish. Amazing video like always brother.
Thank you Bro! Thank you for sharing! Your feedback and support is greatly appreciated! And you’re right, even the trusted aquarium where the fish is purchased will suggest you dump in chemicals like cupramine without knowledge of your stocking…. And when the fish die, there’s no accountability.
Thanks for the awesome video man!! And i hope that ich goes away soon for ya!! Corals are looking amazing as well as the fish, cant wait for the next video.
Thank you Bro!! I appreciate your support! The fish seems to be cured of the ich but now just waiting for them to be able to go back into the display tank!
Great video again!! How about the evil thing you killed with a seringe? And you want to stick that net you used in that tank to treat that as well before you use it again.
Thank you Bro! And great tip! That way the ich isn’t spread to other tanks! I hope people read your comment! Thank you for adding useful information to the hobby with great comments! 🍻
Glad I found your channel going to start soon and you are very educational on this Hobby, I thank you for being one of the best on UA-cam for this hobby…. Keep it up can’t wait for my post!
Like always really enjoyed the video that's why i came to the channel because no matter what anyone says you always do you my love fam i really appreciate that
Before seeing this video, I bought Cupramine when I noticed my purple tang got ich. I quarantined it with the cupramine, then I noticed she was miserable so I immediately put her back into her 125 gallon home, my two cleaner shrimp cleaned the ich off her and now she's doing great! Then my clownfish got ich, I quarantined him and then he died :( saltwater is a hell of a learning curve but nonetheless a fun and rewarding hobby.
You’re absolutely right, saltwater is definitely a lot more challenging than freshwater! I’m glad you got your purple tang out of that poison before it was too late! Thank goodness for cleaner shrimp doing their jobs! Sorry for the loss of your clownfish! We learn as we go and hopefully enjoy it along the way, regardless of ups and downs!
@@TheFishCorner thanks man! I re did my 125 gallon tank, all of my corals and fish are happy. Majesty (purple tang) is living her best life now! I bought her at the Petco in Reno Nv. I caught her just in time while they were acclimating her in the bag before releasing her into their toxic water.
Great video man! I have a quick question, I have the same box light as the one you have, I just wanted to ask what setting do you have your blue and white light? It seems like yours is doing better lighting wise compared to mine, might have mines too low. Thanks for the help in advance! Also, thank you for being realistic. Disregard the haters, not everyone has the ability or funds to have a quarantine tank so you gotta do what you gotta do at times. Keep it up!
Thank you Bro! I really appreciate your support and feedback! I have my blue lights at like 75% but I will tell you this…. I really want a new light…. My corals look so different when in the store compared to how they look when I get them home… And thank you, I’ll definitely keep it real regardless of the hate. I’m more about helping the hobby instead of showing off what I have.
@@TheFishCorner I was thinking the same! I only had this light for 5-6 months already and a row of blue lights has gone out. Might be an idea but you should do a UA-cam video on which type of light you’re getting and maybe unboxing too?!? Thank you!!!
Idk the difference between cuprimine and copper safe but I just had a ich outbreak 12/23 and scrambled to get meds/treatments on 12/24. When I woke up on 12/24 a flag fin had already passed. I drove 40 min away to the nearest LFS and got coppersafe. Since then a flame angel, copperband butterfly, and dwarf fuzzy lionfish have died. Lionfish are more prone to dying with copper treatment I think (it’s 50/50) online. My point is that I don’t think cupermine is any less toxic than copper safe. I think I treated way too late and copper medication will induce stress on fish. Since it being Christmas Eve I have ordered better equipment and meds for next time but that was only option at the time. Sucks to lose fish. Ps. It’s a fowlr wasn’t worried about coral and I have barely any inverts
I like your educational video very much. Thank you sir. Awesome keep up the good work please! Someone we can follow without second guessing. As you know, there are thousands of opinions out there on the internet which gives newbies a lot of headache. I'm glad we can just follow you. Thanks!
Thank you! I truly appreciate your support and feedback! I try my best to keep it honest, informative and entertaining. It means a lot that you recognize and appreciate it!
Bro I tell people ALL THE TIME! I use fritz coppersafe it’s literally saved one of my whole salt water big tanks with porcupines, dogface and triggers, it’s the best and safest by far for ich.
Great video bro! I have a new bottle of Cupermine I had bought just to have. Glad I saw this video before I used it in the future if needed . Appreciate it
People fail to realize by you being honest it helps those that are afraid to admit they’ve done the same thing or it’ll help prevent someone from doing the same thing. Cleve forget these internet thugs man. They def not knuckling up in person lol. Great video!!! Keep them coming
You’re absolutely right! And that’s the reason I’m not changing anything regardless of how it’s received! Thank you for your support and feedback brother I appreciate you! 🤜🏾🤛🏾 and they definitely not knuckling up. Lol
Great video, thank you for all the info,I'm pretty sure is going to help us a lot when we have to deal whit this tipes a esues in our Salt water tanks, thank you again Brother.
Hey we all hate Ich glad you're taking the steps to get them all healed up but the minimum time to go fallow and kill all the cycle of the parasite is 76 days. I heard you mention a few weeks and that's just not long enough to rid the tank of the eggs etc. Just wanted to make sure you are successful.
Hi Lisa, fortunately you’re correct, it does tank longer than a couple weeks. I read something like 4-6wks but I’ll take as much time as necessary to make sure it’s gone before reintroducing them into the tank. Thank you for your feedback and support!!
very nice arowana a great addition to the 240g, great job keeping all those aggressive fish together. I have my couple of wild caught Dovii alone at 375g and they don't accept anyone is like their temple jaaa.
Hi Isaline, I didn’t mean to scare you from getting into the hobby, in fact I meant to do the exact opposite. My goal was to show viewers one way of dealing with ich. If you want to get into the hobby, you definitely should.
gr8 vid bud, My son would be crushed if Luffi, our snowflake eel died: the oldest fish we’ve had in our tank and the coolest. He is so cool, kinda like Mr. Magoo they’re kind of blind, so they’re very nosey…so they’re very inquisitive
Ho Cleveland , This seem like a lot of work , darn inch ! I read somewhere about something called Melafix , good for treating fish, corals & invertebrates while in the tank..might be an option...
Thank you David! I appreciate your feedback and support! I keep melafix but it doesn’t work on ich. Ich remediation does tank a lot of work though when keeping corals.
Just use metroplex & focus bro I had the same issue in my tank with corals & didn’t have a back up quarantine so I medicated the food with tht & it didn’t harm corals or nothing & got rid of the ich
I would say at least a 20 gallon to be on the safe side. You’d pay about $22 for your initial start up saltwater and $6 every two weeks for a water change. Keep 5 gallons of RODI water around for evaporation, that’s another $6 every two weeks. So $24 a month just on water for the 20 gallon saltwater aquarium.
Hey, what’s up Cleveland. Subscribed to your channel months ago & you really seem like a great cat. I really have something to share with you regarding curing fish with parasites. In iTunes go to Reef to Reef episode 30. Lost a lot of fish recently & wish I saw this video before I quarantined. God Bless U and Your family.
I’ve been using Aiptasia x to keep it in check. Thus far as long as I deal with it every time I see it, it’s not spreading. I see a new one every couple weeks but every time I use the Aiptasia x it dies back.
Hi I’m having a similar issue with 4 of my fish in 2 different tanks I have put a divider in my 10 gallon should I put all all the fish just in case the others have it too it would be 8 fish total between both tanks
One of them is full of coral snails and 3 feather dusters so I took out the worst looking fish and quarantined her with Fritz copper safe the others are looking fine with no spots so I left them in the tank with coral and treated them with imagitarium parasite med from petco the other tank I treated all 3 black storms with Fritz copper safe after taking everything out would the ones I left in the tank be ok or will they also get ich I’ve been treating every other day just in case so they don’t get it with imagitarium parasite remedy meds
If you do a water change just add back in what you took out with more medication. But look the beauty of this medication is that you don’t have to worry about it like that. You can do a water change and add in the full dosage with no issues. You can add medication two days or three days in a row with no issues. That’s why it’s so good.
I’ve learned that for my own home, I need enough tanks that in a pinch, I have a safe place to segregate predator fish, non-predator fish and corals, so at least 3 salt tanks that aren’t cross contaminated. I currently have a clown and a watchman goby chilling out in a sump. They’re safe and happy. 😛
Exactly! Having those back up tanks will keep all your stock alive much longer! If I didn’t have a back up tank, I would have lost the fish or lost the coral. So we have to stay ready just in case. 🧠
@The Fish Corner I just rescued my new urchin from the blue spotted puffer this morning. Took a week to notice the urchin has been getting picked to bits (literally) by the puffer. 🤷🏼♀️
It’s so much easier to treat In freshwater but it can definitely wipe a tank out…. I’ve had that happen before on my saltwater tank…. Thank you for the luck! The fish are cured of the ich, now I’m just trying to wait it out from my display tank.
I like how real this man is he tells the truth and I feel confident following his advice

Yea if you have corals, invertebrates etc
hot damn dosing any copper to the display is a horrible idea. Removing it if you have sand will never happen.
