What is it about this album that it NEVER EVER gets old no matter how many times you hear it it still makes me totally amped out and exhillarated. My favourite album for 13 years.
in high school (97-01) i was a huge metal head, but you would never know it because i was a jock and wore shit like Tommy, Polo, Nautica Old Navy etc. Basically i was a preppy jock but listened to metal. my class had about 300 students and we all got along pretty well. i remember columbine like it was yesterday and i cant believe they tried to blame the music industry and manson for that shit. i am glad my school was not like that, we all partied together, jocks, freaks, skaters, nerds etc
I was In the same boat somewhat (00-04) hung with stoners and skaters but some popular kids and jocks too. But there was a divide. I remember I wore a cannibal corpse bloodthirst shirt on halloween and the "metalheads" looked angry and confused all at once lol, yet they didnt know of SYL or Meshuggah so I felt like I didnt need to impress anyone anyways. I would always play Pantera : Watch It Go in my room during kickbacks for people that needed a break from hip hop playing in the front. I just wish I hooked up with more goth girls those were the ones who really thought i was a poser sadly hahaha
"Zero Signal" was the gateway tune for me, but this song is the one that shook my hand upon my entering the room, embraced me as a fellow metalhead welcoming to the Fear Factory. Luv this tune.
some lyrics: (taken from darklyrics) [Spoken introduction:] Everything is increasing, so violence is increasing, Burglaries are increasing, armed robberies are increasing. More people have guns on the street now than ever be attacked. Gun won’t use. They won't shoot you, they will stab you. [A quote of San Bernardino cop in an episode of "COPS" movie:] Gun control is, uh, is not working at this point. Everybody still has a gun. Whether it’s a 22 or a 9 mm, they, they still have a gun. And they're really quick to pull that gun, And use it on another individual without a second thought. Once that bullet leaves the barrel, it's not coming back. The conscious man is dead And I buried him Beneath this scarred tissue Armored skeleton The machine is now alive Desensitized with open eyes Powered by an angry mind And is refueled by those I despise despise I've become what they detest A delinquent survivalist Without fear and no regrets They fucking say I am a criminal [4x] I must steal to survive I must kill to moralize Leaving people victimized Fuels my angst inside I'm your judge and your jury You don't get an attorney With my verdict of guilty An execution in fury The machine is now alive To wreak havoc in your lives There's no use to hold me back I am ready to attack [Spoken:] [Recited by Burton C. Bell, but quoted from Linda Hamilton in "Terminator-2" movie:] I lived only to face a new nightmare: The war against the machine. [Spoken:] Complete over just dead I've become what they detest A delinquent survivalist Without fear and no regrets They fucking say I am a criminal [8x] Criminal! [4x] I... am... a... criminal! [4x] [Spoken:] The war against the machi-i-i-i-i-i-i-i-nes…
More people have guns on the street now, than ever did... and theyre not afraid to use em, they will shoot ya and they will stab ya From episode of Real Stories of the Highway Patrol.

My best friend's dad got a full-grown pit bull terrier. That dog is extremely hyper and will chase any animal or a laser pointer for hours on end. His name? HK
First time I heard fragment this song in 1997 in PHILIPS TV commercial. I really want to see this commercial once again. Does anybody have this video on his computer or VHS ? :)
The machine is now alive To wreak havoc in your lives There's no use to hold me back I am ready to attack I've become what they detest A delinquent survivalist Without fear and no regrets These words haunt me
@Dieseleagle04 I agree. I was pleasently suprised with the new album. I thought I was gonna hate Raymond being gone, but I didn't actually mind after hearing it. I always missed Dino's riffs, and I'm glad he's back. This ablum and Obsolete will always be 2 of my favorite metal albums ever though. I hope one day they will reunite, but doubtful.
@Revouloutionized Was blasting this entire album all year my senior year. then while at college, Obsolete was my song to blast out of the speakers. I scared SO many people
@ChildrenOfTheQuelch amen to that..this album still means something in the world we live in today..burton is the messiah..i wish raymond gets back though.
@Dieseleagle04 oh yea, i am not taking anything away from Gene...hes a straight up beast.. i just liked the Dino Raymond duo..they were fkin incredible through all those years. I guess Dino and Gene just need couple more years to get to know each other to get to the same state.but they are heading the right path..no doubt
@pkrishnametal I think at this point Christian and Raymond are a package deal. And while Hererra was the fucking man without a doubt, you gotta give it up Gene "the atomic clock" Hoglan.. That dude's just a beast.
One thing that REALLY fucking bothers me is that people say Fear Factory sounds like bands that came way after them. It's like NO. Those bands were merely influenced by FF in some form. People need to do there god damn research. Sorry just really bugs me.
I think they're from Terminator 2... I want to find the samples from the Intro... I read somewhere that they're from a COPS episode but I can't find it anywhere
Hi, you know some FF-fan already sent me the lyrics and I put it to darklyrics.com (www.darklyrics.com/lyrics/fearfactory/demanufacture.html#9). But without 1 spoken verse (it sounds like "Complete over just dead" in the middle of the song). Maybe you can find out and check it too? And you are right about Terminator-2 and COPS.
It's too bad Stainless and Interplay didn't use this one in Carmageddon. But then I guess the game would have come across "too dark". Eh who the fuck am I kidding this would have been perfect for it.
What is it about this album that it NEVER EVER gets old no matter how many times you hear it it still makes me totally amped out and exhillarated. My favourite album for 13 years.
One of my favorite Fear Factory songs ever.
agree

The conscious man is dead
And I buried him
Beneath this scarred tissue
Armored skeleton
The machine is now alive
Desensitized with open eyes
Powered by an angry mind
And is refueled by those I despise
despise
I've become what they detest
A delinquent survivalist
Without fear and no regrets
They fucking say
I am a criminal [4x]
I must steal to survive
I must kill to moralize
Leaving people victimized
Fuels my angst inside
I'm your judge and your jury
You don't get an attorney
With my verdict of guilty
An execution in fury
The machine is now alive
To wreak havoc in your lives
There's no use to hold me back
I am ready to attack
[Spoken:]
[Recited by Burton C. Bell, but quoted from Linda Hamilton in "Terminator-2" movie:]
I lived only to face a new nightmare: The war against the machine.

A delinquent survivalist
Without fear and no regrets

The american government in a nutshell
@runehater666 This song was recorded in B Tuning (BEADGB) but if you have a 7 string you can just play it in B Standard (BEADGBE).

@Dieseleagle04 I agree. I was pleasently suprised with the new album. I thought I was gonna hate Raymond being gone, but I didn't actually mind after hearing it. Chile will wait FF For METAL FEST!!!!
\m/ FF Demanufacture is one, if not THE, best album I ever bought!
Is this referring to the Terminator movie? The name and also there's sound affects from the movie on some of the album's songs.
@runehater666 no problem, are doing it on a 6 string?
@ChildrenOfTheQuelch amen to that..this album still means something in the world we live in today..burton is the messiah..i wish raymond gets back though.

@Dieseleagle04 oh yea, i am not taking anything away from Gene...hes a straight up beast.. i just liked the Dino Raymond duo..they were fkin incredible through all those years. HELP! Who knows the spoken WORDS from 3-14 to 3-25 (it's before and after "The war against the machines")???
I think they're from Terminator 2...
I want to find the samples from the Intro... I read somewhere that they're from a COPS episode but I can't find it anywhere

@MrFreedomFighter12 Anti-terminator song.
