Simultaneous functional PET and functional MRI from data perspective.
Functional PET (fPET) is a recently developed PET imaging technique to measure the dynamic change of glucose metabolism in the brain. Simultaneous MR-PET enables the capability to measure both BOLD signal and glucose metabolism synchronously. Dr Shenpeng Li will discuss how to process and analyse fPET data. Some initial joint fPET and fMRI results will demonstrate what can be learned from simultaneous fMRI/fPET data. The challenges and future developments in simultaneous fPET/fMRI study will also be discussed.
