- Frank Lampard felt Everton were unlucky to be edged out in their season opener at home to Chelsea, as Jorginho's penalty separated the sides. The Blues just missed the clinical edge in a battling performance, but the day was also blighted by the loss of Ben Godfrey and Yerry Mina to injury.

It took Chelsea at their 5th attempt winning at goodison they also created very little it didn't surprise me koulibaly was rock solid on his premier league debut weve been linked with him for years and now he plays against us🤦♂️

This business of the liner not putting flag up until play is done was always going to end up bad for someone now Godfery has a broken leg because the flag didn't go up for an obvious corner

We really need to bring in another striker as Calvert lewin can't be depended on and I won't start on rodnndoj, who's a great meme... But not a great footballer. We looked happy when in control and did well to keep it aswell. Prayers for Godders tho.

That ref was bent, we got penalized for bad refereeing by losing Godfrey, then they added 8 mins to the first half. The ref then decided to let Chelsea attack us until they scored which was in the 11minute of injury time! We were under the cosh and the ref should of ended the half 3 minutes earlier...
Chelsea could've walked off the pitch, the still wouldn't have scored.
Here's a thought, why not play a centre-half as a striker? Mick Lyons was a good defender, but he also played as a striker in his time with the club and scored a good few goals too!
You need a target man, so why not a defender who can win a headed duel?

the foul for the penalty although soft was ridiculous putting hands a player who is soft and can't stand with a hand on him🤦🏻♂️ Chilwell must be hilarious at the supermarket if someone goes close to him. I just hope delle wakes up as he's potentially a star in our club.
Blaitenly a penalty, doucoure had hands on him and it’s always gonna be given as a penalty. Nevertheless Chelsea we’re awful, if Everton had a striker they would have won or got a point out of this game.

Woeful appalling game. Created very little we need to sign a striker now ready for the villa game. Don't bother starting rondon ffs I've seen milk turn quicker than that donkey. I thought Tarkowski had a good game very solid commands his area instructing but apart from that the rest was appalling this squad needs a huge shake up hopefully the signings of onana and gueye can do that

How many times is he going to get in front of the camera and say we deserved blah, blah, blah. Just start winning games. The scoreboard doesn't lie. Getting sick of this victim mindset of the club and the fans always saying it was someone else's fault. It's the ref or the injuries or the VAR or the wind or the grass was cut on the wrong angle. STop making excuses. The scoreline doesn't lie. You deserved to lose and you did. Sort it out.
Didn’t play bad today mate. On another day we could have won that. Unfortunate with the injuries and sterling dives to get the free kick which leads to the penalty. I’m sure they’ll sort it out.
To be fair to Frank when everton had there 1 attack he was right in saying a Boeing 747 came over and blew the ball slightly the other side of the post
