@@SPORTbible in all honesty the random generator needs to get fired 😭😭
I totally get what you're saying but given the format they would eventually have to debate a choice between players in different positions. They don't have a young defender, midfielder or attacker of the year award. It's young player of the year, so when you consider who is more important in their respected teams the difference in position becomes less important than say the players individual ability.
@@SPORTbiblebollocks that system
It isnt even an argument. You called us Cole Palmer FC all season. Its him.
When you accept what the bullies call you and it bites them back down the line 😂😂😂😂
How on earth is Palmer and Manioo difficult choice?! Shocking
No argument, it's Palmer.
1. Plamer had the same G/A as Saka in the euros whilst playing 25% of the minutes.
2. Palmer has not 1, but 2 pl hattricks. Saka has none.
3. Palmer had to move cities, different coach, different team, new ownership and still did better than Saka has ever done.
4. Palmer did not miss a single penalty last season - Including a Euros KO shootout (so did Saka), 2 against Onana, last minute against Ederson to save a point in the rain, chipped Muric etc.
5. Palmer plays with 'bums', according to most, imagine if he had a better ST - people forget Jackson was new, young and under pressure.
6. Saka's been in the Arsenal squad since 2018 and has won an FA cup and a community shield.
7. Maybe you prefer the eye test, Palmer always looks to create and even when he doesn't get G/A, he moves the needle every time. Look how he got the winner against Man U last season.
8. Palmer's already on 5 G/A this season... and we've played City already.
Saka dont sniff this guy.
1. Palmer has complete freedom on the pitch as he isn't targeted by multiple defenders - Saka is almost ALWAYS doubled up on. He's kicked, bruised and tackled by players and often doesn't get decisions go his way. With all of this, Saka still manages to make a massive impact, get big (and good) goals in big games (Bayern, United, Liverpool, Spurs away), and always be one of Arsenal's key men. Palmer is quality, but he isn't under the same pressure that Saka is to perform.
2. He may of had two hat tricks last season, but don't forget that one of them was two penalties and a deflected goal. Still a hat trick nonetheless, but it's a good example of stats skewing something.
3. What Saka offers defensively is absolutely unrivalled compared to most other wingers in the world. Both Southgate and Arteta take full advantage of him coming through as a full back, you always see him tracking back and helping out on defensive sides, putting up both performances and numbers that are comparable to the best full backs in the PL. I don't see Palmer doing anything quite like that.
4. Just because Saka doesn't have a goal or assist doesn't mean he wasn't involved in a goal - he's almost always involved somewhere in the build-up, but they don't get noticed as they don't contribute to his numbers directly.
5. Palmer did... absolutely nothing against City, bringing that game up means very little. Plus, Saka already has a goal and 3 (should be 4) assists in his three games played this season, including two away at Villa Park, a very tough place to go.
5. Did I mention that he was injured for most of last season?? He wasn't limping for nothing. He had been carrying something since the start of the season, that's why he missed the home City game. It's also why he missed the March international break. All that while starting almost every single game and constantly being targeted, it shows how much he goes through and still provides so much to both Arsenal and England.
6. The Euros is another skewed example if you watched the games - both Saka and Palmer's goals had a big impact, with them both being equalisers in the knockout stages, but Saka was ALWAYS farther back and had Bellingham, Kane and Foden in and around his best positions, blocking his paths. Palmer had the same issues, and aside from that goal, he didn't really do much either. Saka was also England's top scorer in Qatar, just something to add, as well as the best English player against France.
7. Palmer was barely involved in any of the trophies he's won, and those trophies absolutely will come for Saka. I expect them to come for Palmer too, but not at Chelsea.
Palmer is a brilliant player, but he's only been doing it for one year. I wanna see him in the Champions League, tearing it up away at a rival's ground, performing against a tough side who have two men on him at all times. Saka has been doing this for years. He's done it home and away against United, he scores for fun against Liverpool, he has some massive goals against Spurs too, including a fantastic one away to them last season. He's versatile, potent, can step up and play through pain. It feels disrespectful and very reactionary to put Palmer above him after one good season. He absolutely doesn't "clear."
So your eyes say palmer is world class in one season than saka has done for five seasons a person who has been good for England in three tournaments okay the good thing is the new manager loves him a lot more than saka am sure he is going to follow your narrative wait and see if he will be impactful for your country as saka has been if he does that then you can have that argument
Holy delusion…

Fair enough on the Watkins assist, forgot about that. But what final did he score in to win his team a trophy...??? That's made up.
Palmer in 2023/24 had 43 G/A. Saka 34 G/A his best ever season. If you take Palmers penalties away he would have the same G/A as Saka. It’s ok Arsenal fans.
As for major trophies. Palmer played more minutes in any of his City trophies than Saka ever did for Arsenals FA Cup run. Palmer also scored in the Super Cup Final. Both excellent players, but Arsenal fans cannot simply say Saka is clear. He isn’t.
Saka scored 6 pens last szn... in that case saka has 28G/A

For those of you saying Palmer is clear he got his G/A in *one season. * Saka has been doing his business at the top level for about *4± seasons* this is why ppl like to compare wingers to Saka he is the standard at the moment...
If Palmer can churn similar stats at the top level for the next 3-4 seasons then you could argue Palmer is clear. But I feel there's a lot of recency bias in that argument of Palmer being "clear" yes he done it with a dying Chelsea side but so did Saka whilst playing in multiple positions when he first came onto the scene 🤷♂️. Palmer is a sensational player and had a fantastic season with Chelsea but can he do it again and again (I think he can) but let's see
FAM YOU KNOW DEM WAY THERE BULD 🗣️🗣️🔥🔥
Palmer literally contributed to 48% of goals and directly contributed to 27 points which without they would have been 1 point ahead of relegation. Palmer is it
Cecil is shameless when it comes to arsenal. You can't diminish a players ability because he's only done it once. Its his first crack at a premier league season and he's already done better than any season saka has done. Plus saka has a much stronger team to support him getting goals. Not even a comparison, Palmer is far better.
A defender vs attacker and you are using goals and assists to decide who did more.
Saka is so clear of Palmer it’s so forced the debate and ridiculous
Saka been playing for club and country for about 3-4 seasons now one of England most important player won POTY for England 2 years in a row and Arsenal’s starboy . Palmer is good but saka is miles clear Palmer can’t even start a game for England unless it’s friendlies
All rivalries aside, England has a nice batch of young players coming thru.
Mainoo is undercooked and Palmer clears Saka every day
If Sakka was on liverpool he’d be much more appreciated
Not rly heewould warm bench for Salah and Luis Diaz.
Palmer is the deal . I dont want this conversation again

Arsenal fans 😂 can’t believe the wanted to make this a debate Palmer is clear expression is right arsenal can win games while Chelsea can’t win games without Palmer
Cole Palmer is on another planet than saka if your honest
Palmer over Saka is an embarrassing outcome, there is a reason why Saka is one of the first names on the team sheet for England
Palmer is better...Clear, no debate, Saka can have moments and dribbles, but the vision and passing of Palmer, composure is something to envy.
Arsenal fan trying to avoid a final with Palmer😂😂😂 so evident, putting Maino ahead of Palmer, is that even a comparison, let's be serious for once.
The boy is the real Starboy trust me🥶🥶
Palmer is a more exciting player, but U feel like Saka is a more reliable player. In the long run, the ones that win you PLs and CLs are the reliable ones.
Bro you're talking as if palmer wasn't absolutely clutch for chelsea last season, ever more than saka for arsenal
Has saka won either of premier league or champions league?🤣😂😅
