Thank you Jim! 💕It’s one of my very first videos so the lense quality is not there, and my editing skills were… very much beginner at that point, but I’ve always felt it had some useful info on the drawing technique specifically for watercolor - I might do a new version at some point now that (thanks to PATREON supporters) I have better video equipment and hopefully it might help others learn a different approach to sketching references !
Loved watching this rose come alive. Thank you for teaching about the 3 points on the paper. And, yes, I’d love to watch the video of the rest of the painting. Thank you!
Tried to paint this today. And mine too turned out to be good. Not like yours. But happy with the result. Thank you for the tutorial. It’s painting made easy!
So enjoyed the process. I realize how slow and beautiful the process is. Would love to see the rest come alive! Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
Yes please post the rest! I just love your paintings. Totally my style. I appreciate the loose style of watercolor as well, but for me, I just can not force myself to stop with those beautiful details.
Amazing and gorgeous painting. Thanks for the video. Congratulations! I’m watching more of your videos. Looking forward to see the final painting. What I find fascinating is the layering process. I paint in layers too, but oils take a bit longer to dry. Awesome work. Blessings and take care.❤❤❤
This is delightful! I discovered you on Skillshare. You are a born teacher! You're so clear at explaining your thought process at each step. Thank you!
Thank you VERY MUCH for taking the time to leave feedback - I am so glad to hear you enjoy these. I am trying to be as thorough as possible [some folks still complain that I am too fast / or music is too loud... but I am doing my best to learn from feedback and to make it engaging and informative so I can share more information across different platforms like SkillShare and UA-cam ❤️ Have a wonderful weekend!
Amazing again. Love the explanation about picking points in your image for drawing purposes totally makes sense. Your painting skills just make me realize that I have a very very long road ahead if I want to do anything similar
Thank you so much for the tips! Definitely feeling inspired- I don’t know why I never thought of using my own photography as inspiration. I love the way you paint.
I loooovvvee 💕💕... This watercolor process.... please do more like these.... I am always in the search of good watercolor tutorials to follow and practice and I so glad I found you on Instagram... and I'm here... The colors are so distinct and clear... love that💕
im very happy i found you today wow you are great at art .ive been painting for 25 years in all mediums im new to watercolor ive got a big haul of paints on amazon
Hi Anna, Thank you for the great video! Your rose is beautiful❣️Yes, please I would've to see you paint the bird and leaves.Great tip about the points. I use a proportional divider to mark points if I feel like drawing. It is great for accuracy. I admit to preferring painting to drawing any day:)
Thank you Kiara ❤️ I honestly don't know as I use Artlist service to find random music for my videos...Usually I just search for something relaxing and pick whatever they suggest:) I am glad you enjoyed it!
Also, Thank you for saying it is totally ok to trace. I can draw, but I find myself just wanting to get to the painting part. Since the drawing is an outline, I don't feel the need , but do feel a bit guilty.
Oh my of course - trace away - It's totally fine for personal work and practice. And even for commissions when I do portraits I often trace the portrait photos to be 100% accurate. I mean, I know I can draw accurately, it just takes time...and if the point is to paint something and enjoy it, then tracing is fine. Especially if its from your own or rights-free photo. I never understood the debate - tracing is fine as long as copyright is respected:))
Hello Anna, Lovely as always... you have much talent and share it willingly, Thank you & much appreciated! And, Thank you for giving your ok regarding tracing your sketch (I would only use it for practice) which will be very helpful. One question, I see you (at 48 sec. mark) using a brush rest. White base looks like a bottle top with a red expandable attachment, you rest your brush in it. Could you provide the makers name. Your work is really delightful. Hope you have a grand day :-) P.S. Furthermore because of you- I just joined Skill Share :-) & am following you now.
Thank you for your feedback Lynda 💖💖💖 Happy to hear you enjoyed the video and I hope you are finding SkillShare useful - I am currently taking a bunch of pattern making classes. Regarding the brush holder, I received it as a gift in Europe last year, never seen them in Canada.... Definitely handy!!! I just checked and it says on the back Klick-Fix made in CZ. So went looking on Amazon - and here they are: amzn.to/38RIKVX. Apparently you can get them in a set, and they are meant as pen holders:) So may be available in your local office supply store as well. Have a great day!
@@AnnaBucciarelli- THANK YOU! I just purchased two sets. I think they are just grand. Will hold the brush off the table and keep it at the angle (bristles not touching anything) I like. And they swivel to boot! 😊 Anna- much appreciated.💖💖💖
Hi Sabrina! Good question. I use a bunch of different kinds, mostly cold pressed. Fabriano is quite good! Stonehenge is OK too but only if I don't use masking fluid [it rips when I erase, otherwise its good]. Sometimes I get even cheaper not 100% cotton Fabrianonotebooks - like 25% cotton for practice- it's good enough. The issue is - most of the techniques I use require several layers and paper that's not 100% cotton simply doesn't do the job. For 1-layer quick studies cheaper papers in the 25-50% cotton range are fine. You can always buy a huge sheet of Arches in cut it to save $. Yes, I do find Arches to be the best... I agree - I WISH they don't cost so much!
Lol, that fluff or whatever your brush moved around until it disappeared. It sat there forever and I covered my screen with my finger so that I could enjoy the video. It was off to the left from the centre. It was provoking me ☺️

Arches is very expensive, do you use any other watercolor paper or only arches? Are they the best? In your opinion..

Is there a downloadable tracing availabile?
Yes, for all tutorials since May of 2021, on my PATREON 😊

@@sarasotalady yes, PATREON is a membership 😊
