“Each character is different enough that you’ll have to lab them” literally exactly what I wanted to hear, keeps things fresh. So i’m assuming its like Dissidia, where you power up your attacks through combos, and then your hp attack is your super which depletes your remaining lives?
No, not really. You decrease their reishi (hp bar) until it's depleted which automatically does a kikon move (finishing move) which takes a set amount of their konpaku (health stocks). You can also combo into a kikon move when their health is red, which also let's you take away their konpaku. You can also hit a kikon move when they are guard broken. The kikon moves take more konpaku depending on if you are in your awakening, but the amount is always set depending on if you are awakened or not so far. The only time your kikon move does less is if you do it and hit them when they aren't at the red health bar status.
It basically is a game of 'whittle down the HP bar, then hit with a finisher move'. There, at this point, does not seem to be any big Ultimate attacks that you can randomly just throw. It seems that all the big signature moves are Kikon moves which are modified by your Morale guage state (Evolution, Awakening, Spirit Drive etc). This is actually a good thing. Too many games have it where you get to just throw an Ultimate, and if it misses... yeah, huge downer. This method at least guarantees that when you see an Ultimate or signature move, it is going to hit. There's no fear at all of 'wasting' your saved Ultimate coz there is no 'saving'.

Few questions: - How much can you cancel actions by using dashes or Guard. For example we've seen Byakuya being able to cancel the start up of his projectile with a dash. Does every character have something similar? Or even mid attack strings, can you cancel attacks with both of these actions? -Can you do a raw super without the launcher? Like can you use a cinematic super at any moment by holding R2 for example, without launching the opponent at all with the initial R2? -Can you still build Sublimation if you chose to play without going into evolution/bankai? Or basically, what happens if you chose to not go into evolution at all?
Great questions! I didn’t get to try this out from the demo, but your thought on being able to cancel out of actions will definitely be something that I will try if I get to play again. As far as raw supers, I can’t say 100% , but I’m pretty sure you have to use a Kikon move and knock them back first. Holding it without the knock back will just cause you to do a Kikon move.
I’ll definitely try these out in another demo if I get the chance. But one key thing is that the staff were pushing people to use their Evolution. This doesn’t confirm that the other effects won’t come if you don’t use it because they more than likely we’re just doing this so you can get the full experience 👍🏿
@@bekomon With regards to reaching Sublimation without awakening, you can go ahead and watch the Ginn vs Byakuya match from the Demo. Ginn doesn't awaken at all and he doesn't get the sublimationn benefits
man i wont lie i am jealous because you guy got play early but i feel like the full experiance of the game will feel better as a first time experience but still good for you guys you played this awsome game early
The translations from their manual says it depends on your evolution in the match , so that’s why I said that. Where are you seeing that you can choose it? From what they are saying you don’t necessarily have control over it. Even if you activate reverse action mid combo, it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get the yellow to follow up. Which is why I said random.
@therealquinnnjr That doesn't make any sense if true, I read that if you use it in standing neutral position it's the White Reverse, while if you use it while comboing it's Yellow Reverse to extend combos and if you use it while getting attacked it's the Blue Reverse to get them off you like a combo breaker.
I don’t think they’ll change the reverse because the different versions are built to be used in those specific situations. What good is the combo breaker if you’re not getting hit by a combo for example
My only concern is what if you activate it mid combo to try to extend and instead the white reverse activates maybe because your health is low. They don’t clearly say how to for sure get the activation you want.
So the good thing is that there at least does not seem to be any sort of execution barrier whatsoever. No directional commands, no quarter circle forwards/backwards etc, controls are easy enough for anyone to pick up and play. This will at be huge in helping non-fighting game players to get into the game.
Who was your favorite character that you played with at the demo? Hopefully, that dialogue issue was only because of the demo version and will change in the final version. Did you see any technical issues in any of the gameplay?
My favorite was definitely Ulquiorra because of his abilities. It’s very easy to Zone with him because of how fast the Cero comes out. As far as technical issues I actually didn’t have any issues or see any glaring ones. But I’m also only one person, so we could see some things at release. But nothing to report now
@@therealquinnnjr ok thank you! That's awesome, everything i saw with Ulquiorra gameplay was incredible! He definitely seems like he will be difficult to deal with, without a solid plan. Nice to hear no glaring issues on the technical side
Without crossplay it would be difficult to create persistent online community. I' m also worried for the lack of communication about the use of rollback system. Sadly because the game system seems deep and it can be a beautifull arena figther.
@@therealquinnnjr What was the biggest combo you were able to do with a character? Also how much of it involved improvisation in contrast to the auto combo? Were you able to make use of reverse gauge, flash step and signature/spiritual pressure moves in a single combo?
You can pull this off but it also depends on the range and how far the move travels. Ichigo’s moves don’t go that fair in his Shikai form, so I dropped some combos. That’s one thing I noticed with this game in general is that I didn’t feel like combos dropped fast with the invisible combo counter that you know these games have. But you can easily start a combo with some lights into a knock back, flash step, and then go into your Signature or SP. just depends on what you have to work with
It felt good for me. I only got 30 minutes I total, but it was definitely different being forced to face the opponent the whole match. Felt different from a traditional arena fighter. I also had no trouble closing in on the enemy and doing what I wanted throughout the matches. Flash step being universal opens up so much
Kenpachi is an automatic main for me, also are they gonna do this game like Sparking zero, no downloadable demo or playable beta? It didn't do Sparking Zero any justice and player count decreased drastically after a while do to how it was released
Unfortunately, even if this game did have issues, I don’t think they want us to find it before the game releases. Notice they mainly only do Beta’s for their MMORP games like SAO because the whole game relies on that. I think they’ll avoid doing a beta, but a demo could happen, but I don’t think there are any big game events in the US leading up to release are there? That’s the only place they’ll do it, at an event
Thank you man for the great analysis! Quick question: I know we can use flash steps and spiritual power moves during combos, but is it possible to use signature moves during combos as well?
Exactly what Shadow said. It will mainly depend on if you can get it out fast enough, some moves have longer start ups and different travel distances. I was having trouble following up with Ichigo’s Non-Bankai SP moves because of the range of them. This is where the labbing will come into play
Do you know if blue reverse could be used during a Kikon move to avoid the ultimate? Also, do you have to manually block ultimates or is it automatically blocked until you hit the 30% threshold?
I didn’t get to test the first question but the second question , I’m pretty sure you have to block. I was able to land an ultimate on Yoruichi after she recovered early because she didn’t block.
There were 3 in the demo. And it kept me engaged. While it wasn’t the most difficult thing ever, for me only playing the game twice, I was sweating a little lol
I have a question, by doing the combos with just light medium and heavy without using the reverse gauge to extend the combos you can still have a sufficiently long combo (I do not include the optimal damage just for the time will a combo last with light medium and heavy)? I ask this because in all gameplay the reverse gauge fills up quite slowly I find that it will be tiring to wait all the time for this gauge to fill up to be able to do a long enough combo
From what I saw you can do combos without using the reverse gauge flash step but they will end faster. This game didn’t have much instances where the opponent was invulnerable from damage while falling , but the knock backs can make it harder to follow up depending on the range of the character you have. Someone like Uryu may have no issues, but Chad might be different. I’ll look into this more if I can play again.
I couldn’t check to see which control scheme it was. Since it was a demo you would have to think maybe it was the easy one, but I still felt a lot of freedom
From what I can tell from the symbols on the Soul Crystals (one of them has a fist and one of them has a shield) it seems to be some sort of buff item. I doubt it'll be used in ranked but maybe there's other PVE modes outside of story.

After watching the whole video, Im 90% sure you did not get to play the game and is BSing using information already available and other people images and videos to base yourself on. Your own vocabulary when talking about core mechanics is so weird and inconclusive (not even considering the times where you clearly say things as if you did not played it and is theorycrafting about basic stuff). How in the world did you play for about 15 min and know the same or less amount of information that anyone paying attention already knows? It surprises me that people are buying your bullshit and even defending you when someones points to the obvious. What a nothing video to grab views, expected nothing less from a arena fighter player. You guys deserve bad games 🎉
I wasn’t going to respond to this just because I know it’s not worth it arguing with people online. All I will say is if I didn’t play the game, how did I get pictures of the in-game controls with English translations? Including the tutorial? These are all pictures I took while playing. How did I know that the evolution bar for reawakening resets after you lose your konapaku when we haven’t seen this in gameplay? I won’t be responding anymore. But just wanted to make it clear that I actually did play. Just because your being a hater don’t mean you need to spread negativity.
"Game is a full arena fighter but it doesnt actually act like one" *proceeds to talk about most arena-fighter-like features of gameplay* Well, altough the game looks great, that's the biggest no-no for me. Omnidirectional defense and restriction of movements (8-way movement, always facing the enemy, being pinned to the fight axis) that's just making the game feel generic, too bad that even 14 years after bleach soul ressureccion which expanded the immersion and didnt give off this tekken-like vibe (characteristic for anime based games), they decided to go back to the arena fighter formula...
@DerriousGamez Obviously. But what I'm refering to is those claims that it's something else than just another anime arena fighter - no, it's not - with a story mode that works just like a tournament ladder. And I'm not surprised by those claims, because obviously people are tired of the same formula being used for every single damn anime based game - yeah, I know that making anything more than just generic arena fighter is more demanding. Of course I will move on, but on to what?? Saying that this one is simply not for me or for people who expect sonething more is ridiculous. We never got any bleach game that explores anything more than just arena fighting (beside bleach SR in a way) and the fact that this big comeback is just another MUGEN with good graphics is quite dissapointing.
@@DerriousGamez I don't think you understood what I wrote at all. Yeah, I'm complaining (rightfully so) because I expected something more immersive than restrictive formula of arena fighting game. No, there are no other games based on Bleach that offer you anything more than typical arena fighting game (beside mentioned bleach SR in a tiny bit) - so there is nothing to move onto. Unless you are referring to some old Byond bleach games. So I will repeat - move onto what exactly?
@@smoothhoops3739Omnidirectional blocking pretty much kills that argument lol This game is for babies if you can block while facing AWAY from your opponent lmao Worst than Storm even

Do we know how far into the story the game will go? I can’t imagine it includes TYBW before it’s even finished. My only concern about the game is, I really hope it doesn’t do what AoT or the demon slayer games did; charge you full price for half the story and then put the other half behind another 80 dollar game a year or two later instead of patching it into the existing game. I REALLY hate when they do this.

That's what side step is for so of course 😂
@DerriousGamez what?? 😆
@@treyd7607 yes you can sidestep attacks lol
To simplify meaning for some....Can you dodge hado and cerro attacks ? lol

Is it Bankai 😂
Had to check who was first, and that’s RIGHT!
You got Twitter or instagram. I’ll need to get your address to send the stand to you! Add me on one of those platforms, I doubt you want your information in UA-cam comments lol
To get a response is good for me ❤️🔥😎 we appreciate your 💪 work thank you.

Solo 7 personajes en modo VS?🤔
Just demo size
Do u know teh game specs?
bro that doesn't come out till the final month of the game for the specs since anything can happen to change it
It’s NOT an arena fighter, it’s similar to budokai. No one ever even compared that to an arena fighter
if only it plays like sparking zero.
Why would anyone want a copy and paste of another game when they can play that instead?
Does the game have japanese dub?
Did see in another video that they where speaking in there japanese voices so yes
Yes they do. They changed it to English for me. They have full English voice acting
And Japanese
0:32 no tf u don't xD

I'm going to give the devs the benefit of the doubt and say this is just some jank you ran into. If they greenlit that then this game is for babies and I don't want to hear any more "competitive talk" form RoS glazers🤣
@@jirenthegray5776 sparking 0 has way more jank than this game and that game actually needed to be in the oven for a year and you can't defend that🤡😂
Damn bro what happened to you saying you don't initiate hate?
@@DerriousGamez Keep telling yourself that. The animation for when a breaker move lands and the character just floats above the ground without landing is 10x more jank than Sparking lmao Also the devs are babying their playerbase if you can guard everything from all sides while not even facing the right way. This game is shaping up to be worst than Storm, nevermind Sparking.
@@Honest_Mids_Masher I never said that. You can't even read. I was speaking past tense and saying the comment YOU saw were on defense. I'm done playing defense. I'm picking this game apart from now on lmao
@@jirenthegray5776 "I'm done playing defense" you sound soo pressed for no good reason lmao. Have fun "picking the game apart" trust me you're wasting your time.
"Game is a full arena fighter but it doesnt actually act like one" *proceeds to talk about most arena-fighter-like features of gameplay*
Well, altough the game looks great, that's the biggest no-no for me.
If it's not for you then it's not for you just move on
@DerriousGamez Obviously.
@Patrycz4k arent anime arean fighters typically not locking you to face the opponent and you run around freely and control the camera?
@@Patrycz4k so you're complaining and ignoring the fact that you can move on to play some other games that are bit arena fighters 🤨ok you do you
@@DerriousGamez I don't think you understood what I wrote at all.
I rather had a sparking zero like bleach game honestly
@@VintasticGaming this gameplay looks more competitive and unique imo. All AZ characters pretty much do the same thing
Uh how about no😂
And half the roster with kamehameha as the ultimate? Nope.
@@smoothhoops3739Omnidirectional blocking pretty much kills that argument lol This game is for babies if you can block while facing AWAY from your opponent lmao Worst than Storm even
@@IvanM272 Half the roster has flash step instead lol Big difference
i find the 30 characters to be quite low. there would be a lot of important characters left out which would spoil the quality of the game-
The characters will be released per story arc I assume there will also most likely be more characters on release so let's not start dooming
@@fable2830 that's what I'm thinking about, that there will be more characters than 32. because that would spoil the game.
Yea but it's basically impossible to release a bunch of characters on release with how unique they are. So overall it sucks but it makes sense
Quality>quantity. I rather 30 unique characters than 50 watered down clones.
@@treaon511 heat the soul 7 has 63 playable characters
People overlook the obvious to make things seem better then what they are just tell the truth.. the game looks a little repetitive & limited from all the trailers put out
@@tristankinney9077 The game trailers they post are just supposed to be teasers nothing too serious and what do you mean by the game looks a little repetitive?
You really gonna sit there and tell the man he is wrong even though he played it and you didn't?
If you compare it to other anime fighters it looks far from repetitive
How are you gonna say what he did & didn't smh ignorant
@@smoothhoops3739 The Storm series has more characters and more moves imo
Do we know how far into the story the game will go? I can’t imagine it includes TYBW before it’s even finished. My only concern about the game is, I really hope it doesn’t do what AoT or the demon slayer games did; charge you full price for half the story and then put the other half behind another 80 dollar game a year or two later instead of patching it into the existing game. I REALLY hate when they do this.
