I was so excited to go to the G.O.A.T tour but the Austin date got cancelled after I purchased so I got another ticket for San Antonio instead then that got cancelled last week! Very disappointed. I was looking forward to it.

@@mrhoneystinger3676 Those are two different things. Simone probably would have vaulted again too in that scenario. In fact she has competed while hurt. This was mental.
@@mrhoneystinger3676 Kerri strugs career was also cut short because of that vault so don't even compare. Kerri didn't need to do it either since the US would have had enough to win and it shows how courageous she was, but athletes should NOT have to injure themselves for a medal, especially if that injure impacts them the rest of their life
@@saraelisabeth9038 people don't get how serious mental really plays a part in sports. Vanessa atler for example constantly had mistakes on bars due to always second guessing herself and you can tell the apparatus was one she wanted to finish as quick as possible. Didn't take away from her talent. There have been gymnasts in the past who even quit the sport due to developing a fear from it. Getting injured is not worth it
@@mrhoneystinger3676 Great example. Kerri supported the decision made by Biles. Two different scenarios. Strugg thought she had to vault to win. It was the last event. Biles had the option to step aside and let a gymnast who could score higher take her place. It was the best move for the team and for her safety.

Yes, as you've so graciously said, the Olympics is full of pressure because you're competing for a chance to win a medal whereas the tour although they still train because they are preforming and still want to do and give it their best. It's more for fun and entertainment purposes than having to complete against or alongside others for a medal.

Isn’t she technically a dwarf?
Dwarfism is defined by very specific genetic mutations in most cases. Given that unstable joints, skeletal malalignment, spinal stenosis and DOMS are all very common in people with dwarfism, it would surprise me that she has a condition given her athleticism. But even if she did, it changes nothing and is irrelevant to this conversation.

Lost a lot of respect for her with her "issues". Unpopular opinion next:
She had it all wrong.... think about it. If you KNOW you're the best at what you can do, no one can beat you. She beat herself.
Heck given all of her incredible skill, she would have been better off with an internal cocky mechanism knowing that she can't lose. Look at Michael Jordan, or Kobe Bryant. They both had Killer Instincts knowing that no one could top them... Simone should have mentored with them as opposed to being a victim of poisonous social media.
