I was thinking that you would have shown Tom Hanks' character was wearing his bars on his helmet. Now maybe it was different in WWII I don't know. But in 'nam I was of the understanding that you didn't wear your rating/rank, on combat missions, especially officers. That to do so made you a huge, and valuable target for the enemy.
Good job I notice this to but I will say the chinstrap was made in 1944 but it was not on d-day i don't think I just know about paratroopers you'll know more than me
It was there when it first got popular, sorry if your hurt over it. He was in a lot of good movies but being associated with a child peddler and not denouncing it is highly suspect and disgusting.
I actually like watching movies without people nit picking all the little mistakes just saying it’s better to just watch the movies instead of doing that
I like how I actually noticed the seema on the front and thought it was not right but I didn't notice the clip haha 😂
The worst sin in Saving Private Ryan was those helmet nets used by the paratroopers, with the big wide openings and scrim.
This vid made me find out that my american helmet was from ww2 i was not sure before i watched this. thanks alot

I guessed the helmet but for the wrong reason! I thought I remembered him being a medic and thought he didn’t have the marked medic helmet
Oh wow, as a Soviet military buff.. I never noticed that, but put Enemy At the gates, they fought for our land, or the star and look out lmao
I have a post world war 2 helmets so I instantly recognize this
Didn’t notice. I thought it was going to be the decal on the helmet…maybe.
Hallelujah for a second I thought you were going to be talking about the rosary.
Nice job!
I love how you can tell by just a little clip for a m1 helmet
Finally someone made a video about this.
Those helmets look hard to keep on your head without the strap. Ive never worn one, but is there lining on the inside that helps it fit to your head?
Pressure clips on chin strap
A Bracelet? the thing in his hand looks like it.

Don’t forget, Tom Hanks was on the flight list.
How relevant.
Oh shut up
I just looked at the flight logs. Not there. On what page did you see his name?
Hello?

The mistake was making this picture.
Chinstrap bails
the ear?
(Edit: bruh why I would notice that lol)
Duh it’s the helmet he’s wearing an M2 which was used in Vietnam NOT ww2. If so it was by paratroopers. M1 steel pot is what he should be wearing
I actually like watching movies without people nit picking all the little mistakes just saying it’s better to just watch the movies instead of doing that
how do you aim
My real name is Ryan
Seam?
yes, where the rim meets there is a seam on the helmet
Hi
