"The last Lieutenant left at 3." A lieutenant then walks out of the building. Lieutenant then proceeds to be absolute trash. Even when SHOWN the other cop was in the wrong, he couldn't admit it. I had a cop ask me which unit someone lived in as manager, and I legit didn't know because they moved out, but had a friend they may be staying with, I had no idea so I just said I didn't know. I was threatened immediately with a felony, the deputy lied to two different people about what I said. Saying I said they weren't here. I said I can't answer the question.
This was over a person being served in a CIVIL MATTER by someone trying to get a judgement after their wife passed and ended up being in the wrong in the lawsuit in a 7 figure way. Someone who smashes the heads in of calfs he felt he wasn't getting paid enough for so he would rather kill them.
But these gang members had no problem repeatedly lying and pushing felony testimony. I've never been arrested. Someone threatening me with a felony, while having paid several times my net worth in taxes, enough to pay a cops salary year after year indefinitely.
I will say all individual contacts I had with police were fine. I got pulled over once for bad tail lights on my Father's truck I didn't know didn't work, and they didn't even ID me, because they knew who I was, because I'd lived there my whole life, and said get it fixed or one of the other's would pull me over and go overboard.
She saw me walking my 13yo dog without a leash(because I let him walk at his own speed) and just stopped to say animal control was driving around and be careful but she didn't mind.
That gained credit in my eyes, but someone just naturally lying about what I said and threatening felonies left a bad taste in my mouth.

And the truth is that there is so much regulation and law that everyone is probably guilty of some minor infraction every day of their lives.

Facts, Its sad that "politics" and "ranks" actually impede and stop the "good cops" from doing what is right. I guess they're all just trying to not make waves, even tho thats the only way change will happen. What we have here is a high ranking officer acting a fool in front of a bunch of "chill" beat cops. The beat cops are too afraid of that SGT to do anything. God knows if a citizen grabed for and damaged a body cam of a cop they'd be lucky to still be alive. A great example of this was posted on The Civil Rights Lawyer's channel a couple days ago. In the video titled "Cops Paralyze Handcuffed Man (He Died) | What Happened to the Cops?" the cops slam a handcuffed guy's head against concrete breaking his neck, then jerked him into a park bench. At this point he is paralyzed from the neck down. At one point his head rolls into the torso of the cop holding him up and the cop threatens to hit him with something like felony assault on an officer if he does that again.

It's actually a very well known phenomenon with a logical explanation.
If you have to be on guard every day, and criminals are indistinguishable from the population you are protecting it makes it almost impossible to prevent an Us and Them mindset from developing over time. Every citizen is a potential enemy (criminal), and can't be trusted. If you trust the wrong person it might get you killed, so it's safer to trust no one. Except the fellow officers who are going through the same as you are.
