I loved the book review. I have read a lot of Ondaatje and love him. At the moment I am re reading Trollope. I am waiting for surgery and need something cheerful. He always has a happy ending in his nearly 100 novels.
Do you know Hobbii? It's a Danish yarn company with great prices. I almost always knit with cotton or bamboo because I live in a very warm climate. Their cotton is soft, vibrant, and very inexpensive.
Awesome sweater and jeans! I love the color and style of the sweater, and the jeans look like they fit perfectly. Do you have to make any alterations to the pattern before cutting out? Just curious, do you ever start reading a book and find that you can’t or don’t want to finish, or do you power through to the end? I read for how something inspires me or makes me feel. I like to read memoirs.
Thank you! The Helene jeans pattern fits me really well without any modifications. I know a lot of people lower the rise a bit, but I have a longer torso so they hit at a good place. I definitely put books down if I get into it and am not feeling interested…or if the writing style just isn’t for me. I LOVE a good memoir! Especially about writers or artists.

I haven't shopped Hobbii before but will look into it! Especially with spring approaching cotton sounds like a good choice : )
