2:06 …10 years later I just had a revelation: When Doobs picks up the phone and the book, he’s actually making a great point. Those are old and out of date just like a CD ROM drive but they still have them around. Now I’m actually doubting that Jake is a tycoon. I wanna see his megabyte statements.
You can't call me that any more, Batty. "NO!" Yes, because as of 4 minutes ago EXACTLY, I have changed my name YET AGAIN.... to Riddle McFarty Nar Nar Shoot My Own Nootsack, The GOOSE!!!
you know I always imaged since they introduce Doobs that he and Amir were once famous art-house film director duo. They made it big in when they were young and was surrounded by artsy people which is why their both eccentric. Things were going good and the won many critically acclaimed awards but eventually Amir got bored and decided he wanted to get into comedy so he joined the CH staff though Amir's terrible at comedy, his talent with film makes up for it and he fixes all the shit scripts that the rest of the staff write so their jokes can shine. He's such a bad ass he usually finishes his work before he even gets to the office. which is why he never seen working or get in trouble Amir would have probably given up comedy and quit a long time ago since he's under appreciated by the staff and his self written scripts are never accepted but he made his first true friend Jake who wasn't just leeching off his fame so that's enough to keep him going. Also I like to pretend that Doobs never really was able to handle the vacuum Amir created when he left since and career as an independent film maker has dwindled and in each episode he's trying to steal Amir back right under Jakes nose
since the first time I saw Middleditch and his acting in jake and amir I knew he was one day going to make it, so great to see him get the recognition he always deserved
true and througgout every episode they have to pick the best clip, and often the best clip is them about to laugh, not laughing, cos their content is fckn ridiculously great. funniest jake and amirs with ben shwartz or tommy middleditch
The whole 'Phone, Book' thing is actually brilliant. Phones and Books are WAY older than CD Rom drives and they're still all over the place. Mr. Goose is a genius.
"A Bridge Over River Queer"... This is totally random and I'm not sure if it was intentional, but I know Thomas is a Kids in the Hall fan, and I was just watching an old episode of Kids in the Hall where they were doing a gay pride sketch and they said the line, "I just blew up the bridge over the river queer." I wonder if he got it from that. But this comment may be completely pointless. Anyway... carry on...
Do you think now that Thomas Middleditch is all famous with his role in Silicon Valley, Jake/Amir go around acting like hipsters and showing people these sketches and being all pretentious like "we knew about him before he got famous"
Jake and Amir are pretty well-known themselves. They did a few live performances. But yes, I think all three of them do that XD. And everyone as collegehumor talks about knowing those three, especially Middleditch.
its insane how consistently amazing this show is
oh cool
I hope they don't stop making these
It's T1J!
It's amazing how consistently insane this show is
It’s insane how consistently amazing your UA-cam channel is

No shit Sherlock, that’s the joke.
@@Cowboy_Frog disagree
its a lot funnier when you think of it as him randomly picking up things
I can't believe Jake stayed for the whole movie.
Deep down he loves it
I think the whole point of Jake and Amir is that at the end of the day they deserve each other.
@@paulfuoco-binette3588 and it is beautiful
"A bridge over river queer" I literally spat my drink out laughing.
+CptCanada BRAVAAA BRAVAAA
+CptCanada When you do something, you don't say literally. You just say I did it.
+Jeff Barrett
you can though
Frederik Lausing True but I guess I am getting older and the whole literally thing seems to be overused. Like "I literally died".... really?
me too, that shit was hilarious
amir's laughing on almost every scene, either that or he's desperately trying to control it.
yeah the outtakes are pretty hilarious
At 0:56 you can hear a good clean chuckle
Yeah on the podcast they talk about how they had to crop Amir out in some of the shots because he's laughing, like at 2:18
@@XFoonDom Yeah I caught that one haha
they always look like they want to laugh, I love that about them
and because of his amazing understanding of technology he was cast for the lead role of silicon valley. fin.
i just noticed rick fox in the background at 3:15
are you the egg man?
+Nikhil N Is that a chicken on your shirt? Were you freaking laid bro? Were you hatched bro?
that's actually Mrs. fox.
underrated comment of the fucking year
Andmunko why are you so obsessed with eggs?
"Hello, peasant!"
"NO!"
I laughed so hard
1:58 to 2:31
For me, this is one of the greatest dialogue exchanges to come out of J&A.
“Meaning it plays dvds!” Always has me cracking uo
I do like that they were both momentarily impressed by his toss
Doobs finally made it, he was in The Wolf of Wall Street!
SCRUBBING HIS FISH BOWL!
I wonder how many gigabytes Stratton Oakmont owned
Thomas Middleditch was also in the Office US
He and Ben Schwartz have a live improv series on Netflix....
He’s in Godzilla King of the Monsters
"Is he dead yet? Or is it not that kind of intervention?"
"What kind of interventions do you go to?"
I would say the quickscoping kinds...

MOVED TO A NEW CHANNEL Believing

Chris Anderson to that feeling?
this episode is so violently iconic. this is one of the goats.
I like to watch doobs yearly. Also like it when bennie with the big hair comes to play
Commenter is a philosopher. Upvote them to karma heaven
He actually did have a point there. "we don't have a cdrom drive cause they're out of date" but they've got a land line and books
landlines are not out of date for offices... and books are still widely read, even though disliked
Books aren't out of date
E-Books, m8
You're not a tycoon, your whole job is a lie
SuperNem
That’s a brilliant interpretation.
doobs should be the new joker...
*joker (Laugh at 00:30)
what are you doing here, JOKEY??
You can't call me that any more, Batty. "NO!" Yes, because as of 4 minutes ago EXACTLY, I have changed my name YET AGAIN.... to Riddle McFarty Nar Nar Shoot My Own Nootsack, The GOOSE!!!
Mark Kittel Well good luck with that, MR GOOSE

Because as of 3 seconds ago I have literally changed my name yet again to Richard Hendricks
Ok; HENDYS!

OWWWW!!! CURSE YOU!

Lmao I lost it at the 'new york city, BC' part and jow doobs looked so confident that he just tricked the audience hahahahaha
smash cut to Paris in the next shot. lol
So weird to watch after binging Silicon Valley
+matthias0479 That's exactly what I'm doing now lol
same.
lol Richard Hendrix demanding a CD ROM
it's spelled bingeing
Doobs literally changed his name again! Richard Hendrix. His company Pied Piper owns all the gigabytes now. And even a CD rom drive.
It only adds to the Experience for me
"New York City, 1995... B.C."

Wow! This is actually really well put together......
This is my new headcanon!
Turn this into a Fanfiction

The world isn't ready yet.
TWO LIKES !?
I think Doobs' name change and audition in the second one was by far the funniest. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time!
My guys are de toughest, take Ricky over here.

TheBlarggle Brief Intermission
I wonder why this episode is still on Collegehumor's channel and not on the new JakeandAmir channel.
2:17 you can see Amir laughing lol
Jake is holding a laugh throughout the whole exchange
true and througgout every episode they have to pick the best clip, and often the best clip is them about to laugh, not laughing, cos their content is fckn ridiculously great. funniest jake and amirs with ben shwartz or tommy middleditch
You can tell they've zoomed in when editing I think, to cut Amir out.
Amir's face, as he tries not to laugh.
"No you're off script!" "We don't have a cd rom drive." "Then what the hell is this?" "A telephone." "Okay."
"No I'm not" says it with so much confidence

+TRu3xNOVA If the show ever gets made, I hope they retcon his death and bring him back.
You can basically see Amir laughing throughout the whole clip, both on camera and off xD.
I wonder if I can still get a copy of that movie on Mpeg4 for my CD-ROM drive.
the way jake says 'i get it now' when the films starts is one of the best things ever
the fact that the smug eye roll from 0:41 is repeated at 1:01 kills me
I highly recommend anyone who sees this to go watch the outtakes of this. One of the rare times I found them funnier than the finished product itself.
Imagine Doobs and Ben Shcwartz left in a room together
Movie date
Movie Date!
Date Movie
it was okay
They perform together at UCB all the time and it's amazing.
The whole 'Phone, Book' thing is actually brilliant. Phones and Books are WAY older than CD Rom drives and they're still all over the place. Mr. Goose is a genius.
This becomes even funnier after watching the outtakes....love it.
Gotta say, good job of Thomas to actually get a roll in The Wolf on Wall Street.

ON A NEW ISSUE DAY ?!!!!
Sgt Chickenwing yeah with his pet fish
I do question whether Jake and Amir are tycoons though. How many gigabytes DO they own?
Doobs series is one of the most underrated comedy pieces on youtube
still the most efficient comedy sketch ever. every line is chefs kiss
"How many giga bytes does your company own?" Lmao
You can see Amir cracking up at "How many Gigabytes does your company own?"
i can’t even count on my hands how many time amir cracks in this video, i love it!!
Literally the most underrated video on youtube
I think the intervention went really well.
Doobs actually made sense at 2:06, jake claims they don't have cd players because they're outdated yet they have a landline telephone and books still
Oh... that's brilliant. I can't believe how subtle that joke is.
I'm not being sarcastic, it's awesome. Thanks for pointing it out!
The sheer magnitude of that awesomeness would so great, that the world would explode before the video even loads
i am crying man.. this is sooooo funny and perfect
Looking at amir during the entire video is just hilarious
doobs is the best internet - show person / actor? EVER
Thomas shorts are very nice. Dat angle is very nicely captured 😆
best college humor video in awhile I AM GOING TO WATCH IT AGAIN
2:19 Amir's totally laughing!
Isn't Doobs the main character on Silicon Valley
Yup
Noah Batz Doobs 4 kind of already exists... It's called "Movie Date".
this is absolutely brilliant!
best thing i've seen in awhile
Funny they mention Tom Hanks, Jake and Amir wanted to cast him as Mickey - if that actually happens - I'll die happy.
More Doobs, more Doobs, more Doobs,.... (4hrs laterrrr) more Doobs, more Doobs, etc. etc.
this probably one of, if not the best J&A sketches ever
"Yes he is"
"No he's not"
"Yes he is"
"No, I'm not"
This one especially, I piss myself everytime I watch Jake and Doobs argue about the CD Rom
0:41 pahahahahhaa the way he is sititng
I love this prequel to Silicon Valley.
ok keep bringing on the doobs please. he is the funniest thing to ever happen to collegehumor
you can see at 2:18 amir failing to keep it together

he's canadian so maybe lol
This is one of my favourite ones
Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out how they got 4 hours worth of 720p film formatted as an MPEG4 on a CD.
definitely Pied Pipers compression rate.
Especially in 1995...B.C.!!!
megaman455 a CD-ROM
Can't truce The Goose. AwoooooooOOOOOooooo woo woo WooooOOooo!
"I challenge you... to a wrestling match!" while both just visibly laughing 😂
This was exquisite!
Oh Penis, he has come so far

Love this episode!!!!:):)
This was magnificent.
His thing about the books and telephone was actually a pretty good point
Never matter.
This is THE best. Doobs is brilliant
Its been 10 long years and I still quote this skit. HOW MANY GIGABITES DOES YOUR COMPANY OWN.
How many gigabytes does your company own? Because I can make it much, much less.
Do you think now that Thomas Middleditch is all famous with his role in Silicon Valley, Jake/Amir go around acting like hipsters and showing people these sketches and being all pretentious like "we knew about him before he got famous"

I'm pretty sure this was the greatest j and a ever!
not trying to be funny, but seriously how would they not have a CD-Rom drive ???
LEVEL MITH ME
Meaning?
I don't know how jake just doesn't set amir of fire! God i love this show/sketch thing!
Haha, i like how even in the final version they break like 3 or 4 times
Coy dagger
hah
Coy Daggers, private eye
Had to look this up again because I got the line "Is he dead yet? Or is it not that kind of intervention?" stuck in my head
XD!! Freaking collegehumor. Best work in years.
The bloopers on this is great.
i shed tears as well
apropos of nothing: the feather and fan stitch on that tam is exquisite
LOL you can see Amir laughing his ass off
0:56, amir laughs. I love that they kept it in.
One of the greats
