The male is from a game called Persona 3, it's pretty old but I'd recommend playing it or watching it. His name is Minato, he's the main protagonist in a world where there is an extra hour in the night (It's called the Dark Hour). When the hour hits at midnight you fight these monsters/shadows that are causing people to- pretty much go brain dead and not be able to do much. You meet your team and try to take down said monsters, you can also developed socal links and just hangout with friends when ever you want to. I'd recommend playing it but watching it would probably be easier for you.

So I thought of another mash-up storyyy^^
"Carousel" girl meets "Heathens" guy at some sort of prison or (even possibly) a mental hospital. She falls in love with him at first sight and "glues on tight to this carousel". "Carousel" girl slowly starts having this 'yandere'-like attraction to "Heathens" boy who wants to stay away from her because he suffers from paranoia. "Carousel" girl's obsessive love over "Heathens" boy gets worse and worse until she develops a Borderline Personality Disorder(?). That's when "Heathens" boy said "You look like you might be one of us", meaning that "Carousel" girl also has a mental disorder like him and the other people in "us"
