I have seen it here in the states. It happens when the pump nozzle is old or beat up, the butterfly inside snaps. Happened to me on my old work truck, lucky it held a lot more than I intended on putting in.
yea my buddy had one come off before the handle filling his truck.... he got soaked knee down... pretty sure they cover all the fuel, dry cleaning, and pair of new shoes....this huy kept pretty chill.
At one point it sounded like the biker was actually going to pay and I was like NO DUDE WTF ARE YOU DOING?? 😂
I would've made them pay for any parts that came into contact with fuel including the fairings and the phone. Fuel can really mess up plastic parts. No sense in the biker paying for it
Standard UK pumps are rated around 38L/min, the fuel pump rate at full flow for 20seconds outside the bike meaning 12-13litres were on the floor.

Heat doesn't ignite gasoline. It requires a spark or open flame. The bike cannot catch on fire. Even if it had the rider could simply step off. It ain't the movies. The bike isn't going to explode.
Cars and bike have been know to burst into flames. Yes you would be able to evac the seat pretty smartly but might still get burnt. Always best to step off when refueling.

my grampa was in a motorcycle accident about fifteen years ago… his legs were paralyzed for a long time he couldn't walk at all. or get up. now he still has a few injuries but he can get up to walk. downstairs he has the motorcycle that was in the crash downstairs at his house…

RE fuel spill - For those that didn't get it, at 9:30 he was going to talk to the manager but then she said some crap about the manager going to a meeting and they gave him full refund so he paid nothing. So he got free fuel and free bike wash vouchers. Faulty pump above hot engine seems scary to me
not true ive witnessed it happen twice in my life. Once when an idiot didnt put the spout on a jerry can before filling a hot presure washer and once like this clip a faulty pump and hot motorcycle. If the engine is hotter than the flashpoint of gasoline then you don't need a spark.

He also couldn't get off the bike and aim the hose so he was stuck sitting there while it wasted gas all over the street. Did you notice him fumbling with the handle? That's because he didn't have his hand in the proper position. When i fill my bike,i leave my gloves on. This way i cover the tube till it gets to the filler neck. And when removing i do the same. This way you don't get gas on the bike and possibly breaking down the paint. If he was standing next to the bike,he could have simply pulled the handle strait out and poured the gas away from himself and the bike.
and if he didn't have a glove on, he could have shut it off sooner rather than fumbling around like a moron.

Petrol station one ,Bike spec for the size of the petrol tank will prove maximum capacity, £600 for a new phone, £100 for new jeans £200 for new jacket, £300 for bike respray because of their faulty pump, £2000 because you thought your bollocks where going to ignite.

I had the gas pump issue happen to me before. Luckily I noticed it was acting up before my tank on my bike was close to full and I was able to bang it lose on my tank ring. I about shat myself seeing my tank fill up and it not turn off though lol
Dude at the gas station should have just shoved the nozzle into the tank. Nozzle sucks in gasoline instead of air and shuts off automatically. Weird to me how people use these things so regularly yet don't know how they function.

@@RobynnxX actually there is a small amount in all petrol, the amount depends on where you get it. I stopped using one big brand after it messed my bike up with a build up of water in the engine.

That's insane that he even had to argue with the gas station. If your pump malfunctions, spraying fuel all over myself and my vehicle, I'm not paying a fucking dime. Is it really going to hurt a franchise to comp one tank of gas? Especially when the TOTAL for gas actually received and spilled gas was under 30 pounds? Absolutely ridiculous. I don't blame the woman, she probably has zero say and was just doing her job.
That would be like if you were having a beer at a restaurant and the waiter walks by and spills someone else's surf and turf all over you then says "sorry, you owe us $60, that lobster is expensive".

I have ridden bikes since I'm a child, and have dealt with traffic for over 20 years riding all kinds of bikes.
Most of the riders I saw in this video .. are just jerks. Please take in account you are a small thing on the road, most drivers don't pay attention to anything that is not as big as they are ... so don't push yourself in a situation when clearly the CAR DIDN'T SEE YOU and you still KEEP GOING! .. yes, you have the right, but just keep going to get close to an accident .. and we know who is going to lose that fight, is just stupid .. you must feel great beeping, making your bike scream and showing your finger so angry ...
