The step throughs are perfect for smaller humans (Man, Women or Kid). I just built my 8yr old a 36v/20amp (10 speed) and she did 22 miles Sat with me using pas 1 at about 9-10mph. Her,l start voltage was 42v, ended 22 miles at 38v (with about 30 ish being bms cut off on her 36v 12ah, battery, depending on individual cell sag but i just balanced it). My 5ft 5in dad has one also.
Bolton Ebikes, Thanks for mentioning the settings because a lot of ebikers don’t know that the speed could be changed to less or more. Some ebikes are set to PAS 1 as a factory setting at 12 mph, which feels like the bike will take off and leave you sitting on the pavement, lol. Maybe you could do a video on how to change those settings (or maybe you did I just didn’t see it), and how to ride it properly, how to use gears, etc. I could not find a video on YT that would really show how to ride it. Some ebikers are in PAS 2 and constantly changing the Shimano gears. Is it necessary? I don’t know. How do you get up that hill with or without throttle. Do you have to use the throttle or could you just up the PAS? Also, maybe a video about Li batteries, safety, types, how to charge it, etc. Really like your channel. Very informative, great job!
My last few bikes were a 1996 Trek 720, a 1998 Ryan LWB recumbent, and a 2000 Bike-E CLWB recumbent, all fun in their day! Now I am semi-retired and getting ready for full-time RVing with the desire to do all of the rail trails that I only dreamed about in my prime working days. Now with a torn ACL on the left and instep issues from a re-attached leg 35 years ago (motorcycle accident) and working on the second half of a 60# insulin resistant weight loss, the e-bikes are so appealing to re-enter the biking world that I left so many years ago. I do not want to do anything technical, just around the campground and short to medium segments of rail trails until I get into better shape. The folding bike idea is appealing as it could work in a variety of different RV sizes and styles without taking up a lot of space or cargo weight. It could fit up in the bed of a pickup with a tonneau cover or in a rear storage compartment of a motorhome. Time to listen to some bike podcasts, LOL.
I would also like this as well, on the fence about both at this point except the color choices and honesty about the lack of bells an whistles have me here

They are called the Little Fattie In the UK, they come with all the lights already on the bike, and also comes with suspension forks as standard. And a 48v/10amp Battery. The only drawback Is, they are only 250w motors as UK legal 15.5mph Is all they can do. You can get them modified with 500w motors, but you run the risk of getting your bike Crushed by the Police If caught. Thanks for sharing this.

What are the advantages to paying over $1300 for this bike compared to the Lectric XP for $899. I am looking for two folding bikes to carry in our 5th wheel.
It depends on the components, build quality, customer service, and the way the power is used on eBikes. Check several different sites that review bikes. Then look up customer service quality.

Because I don't like derailleurs, I have a folding bike with a 7 speed Shimano rear hub. I would like to find the same style ebike, with a 350 watt center drive, and 7 speed rear hub. Two questions: if I use good sense, like choosing the correct gear for the speed of travel, would the chain and 7 speed Shimano hub hold up OK? I know that you wouldn't want to tackle a steep hill in gear 5-7; I would take it down to the gear that I use now on my non-electric. Could this be achieved for around $1K? I really like that bike you were on, except for the derailleur thing.
I love the micro foldable ebikes. but the fat tire bikes are not always compatible with transit racks either on the train or bus if you have to rack them. Pay attention to the tire width. Some companies are getting this.
Yes. However you better know what you are doing. Just because you can hack the electronics doesn't mean that the front wheel bearing can can take type that abuse. Be careful.
How does it compare to the XP? The XP says it is a 500 watt motor that can run up over 800 watts...The Avenger has a 500 watt motor, is it going to be similar to the XP?
