This game looks a lot better when it is displayed at 240p (native) on a small CRT and, in particular, on a PVM 300TVL. On a TV like this, even 240p backgrounds are not pixelated and look perfectly sharp. What's great is that people can also emulate the phosphor mask of CRT/PVM even on modern high-resolution displays and get amazing results as well. If anyone wants to see how big a difference CRT/PVM emulation can make in Dino Crisis 2, just google my thread on the neogaf: "retro consoles and 240p resolution / sometimes less is more"
Yeah this game is way too underrated I wish they would remake it like they’re doing with resident evil they’re seriously passing out something that’s going to benefit them at the end of the day but I can also see them add a lot of action like they did with the recent resident evil games so maybe it’s for the best I don’t know

@@VBplays01 the waterfall was the ending to the game for me for years... I always thought the sequel would continue the game after the waterfall in my dumb little head 😆
I spent almost 15 hours to discover this secret, when I finished it for the first time.
this soundtrack never gets old, is amazing
Is this really 4K?i swear this is what it look when i was 8 YO.
Xd
4K resolution still means just the resolution of the image, nothing more. Sadly too many seem to conflate this with graphical prowess.
I don't think you understand what 4k is.
@@McLarenMercedes not to mention these are pre rendered backgrounds so they don't upscale to 4k. They are probably along the lines of 240p maybe 480p. Only the characters and a few items are running at 4k.
This game looks better than this at 240p on a CRT
I played the original when I was 8 back when it came out and didn't even get halfway through. Near the end of it now im 2024 and anyone that beat the game in the late 90s without a guide is a legend. Puzzles make Resident Evil ones look like preschool
Crazy how much the concept has changed from the first one. Went from Resident Evil to Resident Evil : Shooter
Some people even compare it to Aliens. Alien (1979) is typical survival horror while Aliens (1986 sequel) have smartguns go brrrr. In Aliens, the marines went looking for survivors in a colony planet. In Dino Crisis 2, the team are searching for survivors that has been transported into another time.
That opening scene OMG! Love this game, good times!
Always made me laugh when Dylan says “I’m pretty sure my team is ok”
Despite the fact they just got slaughtered 30 seconds prior
This game was and still is so epic... Brings back so many memories... Personally I never liked the first game, but still picked up the second one after seeing a few screenshots in a local youth magazine article... And instead of playing it for a bit and letting it just lay in a pile of games, I was hooked. 100/100 would replay it given the chance. 😍
Same here I recently played the first one for the first time and it bored the he'll out of me I just wasn't feeling it and that's coming from someone who loved res 1,2,3 which are far better games then dino 1
Also am playing 2 right now and after 1 hour in I'm hooked and having fun pew pewing these dinos in this game with all the different weapons you can buy and not having to rely on running all the time with meager ammo and tool I many puzzles I'm looking at you dino crisis 1 also
Aye, it's got a real arcadey feel to it, fast, smooth addictive play style.
A remake with today's console power would be an instant classic.
We have emulators nowadays bro. But still a completely different feeling when playing it with a classic PS1 😢
the first game had a good story but her three only weapons were too boring. i passed the game 3 and 4 times but i prefer better dino crisis 2...because have more action.
Goosebumps from the past. Still playing it time to time. Legendary game.
this is the game that got me into gaming loved it so much
Man the nostalgia just hits different… talk about being obsessed with these games when I was a kid, I used to bring the walkthrough with me when I went to other family members houses and just read it 😂😂 such a little nerd but I loved it 😂 that and I was a little young to figure them out, this and especially RE1 which just scared the shit out of me. Great times
Now, where is that sweet HD Seamless project mod for this game, huh?
That would be great to see!
This game never gets old even though it's been 21 years
idk why this game is still so Good much scarier than most modern games! It's a one of the greatest masterpiece for me whole series
If it's scarier than many other horror games released recently maybe you have a bit much of nostalgia but I can understand.
Don't get me wrong,I absolutely love and loved the PS1 era and I agree that many of those games are better and kinda creepier than some (or many) today releases but Dino Crisis 2 wasn't scary at all but more an action game.Dino Crisis 1 was honestly creepy to play,I remember my fear when I had to escape the T-Rex or when he broke the window as a kid but that's more because we were kid or experiencing that innovation for the first time in gaming.
Is honestly hard to find a scary game today when you played plenty of them from PS1 to PS4/PS5 if they don't make something like a P.T.
I will forever be thankful for my dad because I was in middle school when he rented this game for me @ our local Blockbuster! The nostalgia lives forever 🤘🏻
I miss the late 90s and early 2000s so much. I remember buying Dino Crisis used at Blockbuster then for 10 bucks and renting the 2nd shortly after.
Nostalgia is a B*tch =) i´m 29 now ... this game was part of my childhood =)
sad they don´t make game´s like this anymore
i remember that the Flamethrower was one of the best Weapon´s in game =)
greet´s from Italy =) / ( i´m sorry my english is not so good )
Yess. Also flame wall man!
Then look for the Classic REbirth project. In summary, these are remasterings of RE 1, 2 and 3 plus DC 1. The remaster of DC 2 is in progress.
Stay tuned!
Wait! Is Dylan's Voice Actor the Same Guy that Plays Chris Redfield in RE5, 6, 7, and 8/Village!?! Holy shit!
which is good for Dino Crisis 2 remake
@@Mohammadkwt
That's gonna be interesting!
Oh wow, I thought I had heard his voice somewhere.
Dont think he'll do the voice for 8. However He did in the REmake as well
Im pretty sure hes not. The voice actor For Dylan is Gabriel Hogan
Dylan: im pretty sure my team is alright
yeah, sure dude. After all the massacre the happened just a while ago 😂😂.
one of the best game of ps1
One of the best games ever, It had some preety awesome animations aswell.
One of my favorite game, after 20 years still missing it
I dont like repeating alot of things but this game i finished almost 20 times.Nice to see it holds up graphically even today and yeah i hope they make remake soon i would totally support it :D Also this is my favourite game off all times and i played alot of games trust me !!!
I can relate, out of countless video games i've played this one is in my top 10. Finished it over and over just to get everything unlocked in the Colosseum. Only games for me that i can say i liked better is classic doom ( 1,2,64) and duke nukem 3d/64. A remake would be perfect, i remember hoping dino crisis 3 would play like dino crisis 2 but better visuals. One of the biggest disappointments i've ever had .
If anyone wants to see how big a difference CRT/PVM emulation can make in Dino Crisis 2, just google my thread on the neogaf: "retro consoles and 240p resolution / sometimes less is more"
omg goosebumps 2 decades from now . this game still hyping me . way back when i was young until now😍🥰👊👌👏👏
I’d love this game so much !
Hi Friends, I appreciate each comment, like or dislike. Thank you guys i love you so much, i have no words. Video got so much views
1000th like. Also this game is part of my childhood ❤️
i always love this games ending... up until now it gives me goosebumps
Yeah this game is way too underrated I wish they would remake it like they’re doing with resident evil they’re seriously passing out something that’s going to benefit them at the end of the day but I can also see them add a lot of action like they did with the recent resident evil games so maybe it’s for the best I don’t know
Just smooth out the graphics and make everything else identical do t change anything
Childhood memories come up .. 😆
Thanks for uploading ..
The good old days ..🥺
They really need to remaster the first two games have the RE2 engine I played the hell out of this one gotten every little info discs etc this was fun! Miss this game
Childhood memories so many memories even the soundtrack taking back through past
I've actually AI upscaled every background on texture for this game. Maybe I should get it compiled lol
That would be amazing to play the PC version of this game with upscale backgrounds. It’s criminal how underrated the Dino crisis series is considering it sold as many units as resident evil.
Where can we see your work?
Please do
@@Mocha13E
The 3rd entry really messed up the series. Although tbh, seems capcom could have easily given it the resident evil treatment by rebooting the series, but I guess 3 did so bad it never was even considered.
That blonde dude is Dino crisis version of Leon Kenedy
2:45:38 Jurassic World 3
Ohhhhh the combos! I really love the combos!!!
Muy buen vídeo, me hiciste recordar tiempos de adolescente jugando lo.🎮
Like y Nuevo Suscriptor. 👍❤️
I still have a copy of DC2 disc and the PS1 ofc..
The bloody thing still works after so many years since i took very good care of it.. Been repaired once or twice but nothin' serious..
Finished it for the 1st time when i was 8.. Now here i am.. With 2 children and still playing this game for the 40th+ time already🤣
Played this game ages ago, love watching it now!
Que nostalgia meu amigo, o primeiro e o segundo game foram muito divertidos.
que bosta de jogo sem graça kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
I remember playing this with my dad when I was younger, was so cool
33:59 IT'S AN "AGENT"!!
Note: Anytime my brother and I achieve a 20+ combo in this game we end up fighting these Utahraptors. They barely flinch from any form of gunfire. They we're like sentinel programs aka Agents from The Matrix. Unless you have superior firepower to take them on, there's only one thing you can do:
Run, run your ass off.
A CLASSIC. This was my very first game that i played in my life, RIGHT IN THE CHILDHOOD. Still hoping to see a remaster like RE2.
With the way re3 remake turned out I am glad there's no dinocrysis 2 remake
That’s why it hurts bro.
Same Capcom didn't on purpose for a reason make us old school mad
Dylan : ''we need to search for a supply to survive''
Regina : ''okay, lets split up then''
greatest play ever . thanks
20 years.. and i still remember the prologue
Love this game finished it about 4 times I have Peking to cosplay as Dillon next week
They need to make an actual third installment not that space third game that claims to be Dino crisis 3 blah.. but a true third installment that possibly puts Regina going back for dillhole Dylan & his daughter in a different world with Dino’s or beer Dino’s 🤷🏻♂️
For some reason the graphics to me when I was 5 were just insanely awesome, that I look at them on an actual 4k monitor it's amazing to see how far we've come.
