Just when all is lost, I stumble upon a mesmerizing Great Blue Heron after sunset. This is the unpredictable journey of a wildlife photographer!

The Great Blue Heron is one of my favourite birds to photograph, so having cold, soaking wet feet was a small price to pay! Thank you so much for commenting, I'm really glad you enjoyed this one!

Very nice encounter with the heron. I think that you could very easily have gotten a long shot for silky water and blended in a sharp shot of the heron. Not sure if I would have thought about it, but I sure am now. Thanks for taking us along.
