There are so many technically gifted guitarists today. Yet there are few musicians who can move people through their music. Gary was one of the few: He always did his best and put his mind and soul into what he was playing. In my opinion, he was absolutely one of the best guitarists that ever lived. Thank you, Gary, for the wonderful music.
That's why i am saying that Jimi Hendrix is not the greatest guitar player of all time, skilled yes but there are other guitar player's out there that play's better.
He killed it until it killed him, till the last drop of life, like a fearless knight in battle. Thank you, Gary Moore, you never gave less than your all, which was a kingdom of passion.
Still got the Blues for this song .One of the great songs of all times .Thank's to a great artist GM RIP and may the blues be with you wherevever you are . Ps: and to the Ones who don't like this masterpiece ,may you rest in peace too.
We are so blessed to have the internet and UA-cam. I regret I will never be able to see and hear Gary live but he lives forever on the Net. RIP. A True Master above the else. I was shocked when he passed and I asked a friend at work if he had ever heard of him. He was very lucky to have seen in at a bar show in Memphis TN years ago. No one had ever heard of Gary and he blew everyone away. Genius like Gary can not be replaced
one of Gary's last performances, near the end of his life. His health may have been fading, also his voice a little, but nice to see he kept all the fire, passion, aggression and mayhem in his playing. "Still at the top of his profession at the end", how great a tribute can you give a man? :)

I got turned on to Gary later in life but he has become my favourite Guitarist He moves me every time i hear him play I missed seeing him live but am so grateful for pieces like this. I think this has to be one of the best if not the best guitar solos ever including Jimi and Eric. RIP Gary Moore Maestro and guitar savant
What we are watching here is a master of his art . My all time best guitarist . I’ll never be able to play like him . I’m from Ireland and grew up listening to him. There has been no one to this day make a guitar cry like him . I try to play his music but will never be able to do it like him. Sadly sadly missed and never to be replaced . I love you Gary and the music you made .

5:07 - 5:18 this is a perfect summary of why Gary Moore was one of the best. His ability to continually ascend and climax with each and every shrieking bend is astounding, not to mention his superlative technique and combination of tempo and dynamics. Just when you thought he couldn't climb any higher, he does it twice.
Andreas Reersted Funny thing is Andreas I heard of Gary Moore, but I never heard of you other. You must be a legend in your own mind. Let the difficult parts to the pro's
@@andreasreersted4081 It's kinda funny. I will acknowledge I can play many of the "greats" solos. However I recognize the fact that it didn't come out of my head. It's a shame so many are so full of themselves and call themselves musicians.
Thanks for posting this. Gary Moore was so....wonderful, terrific and just so very talented. I always wanted to see him....live in person. I play his music all the time
This guy here....god he gives me the chills. Every time i listen to him. Chills. Such a huge influence. If you play rock or blues. This is the guy to watch
an absolute master and this version as good as any, there has never been a guitarist as capable of punching emotion like Gary Moore, exciting, sad, melodic, fast, he is a player I come back to year after year. A sad loss.
Gary, you were one for the ages. You're simple approach to the blues was a fantastic tribute to this unique form of expression. My heart weeps as I write this. You will be missed.
There is and was only two great guitar players and they are both no longer on the earth. This man here is one of those who were truly great. I saw him with Thin Lizzie in Sydney and I was too young to know, now I do know and I am glad I did.
Saw Gary in Hannover, 1992 and it was the first time I'd seen him. Expected rock, got the Blues and a keyboard player (yes I know who it was), but the fifty minutes he was on were worth the ticket. The man was always fantastic live. Didn't realise at the time that the Les Paul on the stand down-stage was the Peter Green guitar, so I guess that's another precious memory.
Saw a bunch of great covers of this song. Saw a lot of great guitarists doing their best to reach what this song deserves when it comes to emotion and melody. Saw a lot of different techniques applied, but no one, I repeat, NO ONE can encapsulate this level of emotion. Even if it's not exactly like the studio version, even with this amount of different licks... Man, no one on this earth can do it like him. We all miss you so much, Gary. Rest in peace.
Probably the most emotional guitar song…….EVER. You don’t just hear it, you FEEL it.
