Hello Nate,Glad to see you making videos. I look forward to seeing your videos in the future. Thanks for letting me know what was playing in the background. It sounded like something I would be into.
Welcome to the VC! Had to do a double check when I saw you had 500+ subs already ;-) If you're on the FB page, put a post with a link to your video, can be hit or miss (maybe wait until the Bowie tributes slow down) but you might get some more views & subs. Cheers!
+Doug A. Thanks, appreciate the comment. I'm uploading a pickups video right now so I will post on there once it gets uploaded. I don't mind playing second fiddle to Bowie haha
n8great321 well, postpunk / (no)wave never really went mainstream anyway... and from my more electronic perspective these genres, alongside synthpop, synthwave etc are a part of the history of what electronic music became to be. so that's a connection for me. also my friend jojo brandt (of 'the convent' - a band you might probably have heard about) showed me a lot of great stuff from that era when we used to set up parties together
Welcome aboard, great intro video! You moved from Chicago to western Alabama? How do you like it? I'd think it would be a huge culture shock. I was born and raised in the Bronx and Long Island, now in Portland, Oregon but considering places in 'the south' like Chattanooga, Knoxville, Greenville SC, Charlotte NC and the like for a lower cost of living. I wonder if it might be toooooo much of a culture shock. Anyway, welcome aboard. Cheers! Tom
Not directly, I lived in Virginia for a year during an internship and have since lived in Alabama for about five years. It's definitely a lot different than the midwest but I work at a University so it's a little more progressive than the stereotypical backwoods stuff. Plus I get to travel a lot so I'm not stuck here all the time. The cost of living and weather certainly is a lot nicer, I haven't seen snow in years. Plenty of great lakes, beaches and scenic property.
Welcome, Nate. Look forward to seeing more. Cheers, Jeff
good intro vid ,welcome to the VC
Just stumbled across your channel, excellent video! All the best, Richard
Awesome!
