The polar bear thanks you for freeing him from inside the stone in which he was cursed for billions of years!

hey. very nice work!! I'm an beginner carver myself. I appreciate the video. I have a question or two. Do you think a Dremel tool would work and could you put a link to the tooling used in the video. Thanks

Was wondering if you remembered the length and grain of your Liogier tools? Especially those of the Spur. Aaand thanks for your videos!

Yes, I do. the regular riffler rasp is a 10'' riffler for stone #6 and has a #4 or #5 stitch on the Liogier stitch scale. The #6 stone riffler is one of the most The used tools while I carve. I can do whole carvings with that rasp alone. it is good for shaping detail and getting in small spaces. The spur is 10'' and about #5 on the Liogier stitch scale. The Liogier hand stitched rasps are remarkable quality and worth every penny you pay. They will outlast and carve more accurately, smoother and cleaner than any other types of rasps I've tried. Thanks for watching and commenting!!

Thanks for the quick answer! I'm new at carving limestone. I've just begun my second project (a 7.5kg stone) and realized that most of my rasps and rifflers are way too small. They were OK on a smaller 1.4kg stone with an easier form. The Liogier tools could be a nice christmas gift to myself :x

Handling stones always felt really disgusting to me, like it gives me goosebumps! It looks really fun to carve stuff out of stone though. Is it strange and gross though?

WolfySnackrib666 it is nice and cool and heavy. And wonderful. And dusty.

Hi Dave. I'm in the Peg and wondering where a good place to get the stone might be. Do you have any suggestions?

I worry you will cut yourself on your hand someday because you don't wear protective work-gloves while sawing. ~ If I try this, I'll protect my hands more.
