    @GDHfirefighters Because the station is old... 1 of the oldest active stations in Philadelphia, built in 1913, and the door is very low. Ladder 16 is a 2003 ALF with a lower tiller-cage and a low profile ladder so it fits with almost no problem. PFDs 1998-1999 ALF's, like Ladder 20 here, are a little higher and can still fit, but most companies choose to park outside instead of trying to maneuver it in the door. There are also steps in the middle which doesnt help much.

    @firedude767 As far as I know, the lights are the original lights that were on it when it was delivered in the late 90s. All of PFD's ALFs have those types of lights.

    @GDHfirefighters Yeah, back in 2009. They collided with Squrt 43 while responding to a box. if you google it there will definitely be news stories and pics. i have 2 vids of Ladder 9's refurbed piece on here as well as Squrt 43's replacement, a 1993 Seagrave Squrt (former Squrt 38).

    @nyshortline It is older, Ladder 20 is a 1999 ALF/LTI

    @GDHfirefighters I wish I could. I'm not really around there as much. Ladder 16's is down the street from my house and a lot of my videos are when I'm just out and about in my free time.

    @GDHfirefighters Well, they are 20+ years old, and even though they run really well, PFD has 19 new KME engines, 2 KME Snozzles and a tiller (possibly crimson) on order. After theses KME Engines are in service, the Seagrave Engines will be gone. And there are only 3 Seagrave Tillers left as Reserve Ladders 180, 212, and 249. Ladder 258 was just replaced by a 1998 ALF. Sad to say it but they will most likely be gone by the end of 2012.

    @GDHfirefighters All the City of Philadelphia sees is the $. They go by the lowest bidder and guess who's always the lowest bidder. KME or ALF. Crimson just refurbished PFD Ladder 9 after it's accident. They replaced the totalled ALF cab with a 2010 Spartan Gladiator and fixed up the trailer portion. It had one minor electrical? problem when it was delivered but the guys seem to love it. Hopefully this new tiller is Spartan/Crimson and any new engines are as well.

    @GDHfirefighters Ok. I'll try. My camera shoots in 1080HD so that's no problem. The Seagraves will be gone soon. I definitely want to get some more vids.

    Great Video! Do you know if Ladder 20's lightbar came with the LEDs or were they installed? Elizabeth Fire Dept. Ladder 3 has a similar lightbar but it is without the LEDs. :(

    @aaronjmott well I do see a lot of videos of 1990 seagrave tillers in that station, I see you take a lot of videos, you think you could catch chinatowns station a lot more?

    I would have to agree with you 100%!!!KMEs really are built cheaply.There just as bad as Ferrara's.The best built truck now a days will either be on a Spartan chassis,or a pierce.
    My dept. has a 2011 Spartan Gladiator.Best truck ever 0 complaints.We have a 2006 Ferrara Engine and a 2007 Ferrara ladder.Biggest P.O.S. ever!It just seems its hard to get a good apparatus now a days.There not built like the old trucks, which seem to last forever!

    @aaronjmott why would they get rid of there seagraves, im a fireman for Upper Darby Fire Department and most of our trucks are seagraves and are the best trucks we ever had, all our american lafrances, E-ones, pierces, etc sucked and always broke down, they also need back ups so why get rid of them?
