Great point! As someone who worked with PMs in IT and was a PM (without the title), I remember many of them did not have that credential but the upper level ones did. I’m looking for a PM role now and it’s overwhelming trying to highlight all the skills and achievements I accrued during my IT days. I’m watching PMI instructional vids paid for by Unemployment but this video reminds me that you don’t have to put all your eggs in the one PMP/PMI basket when you have the experience and people skills to do the job.

PMP for sure looks like a exciting job career. Being able to secure the PMP cert for sure looks very rewarding! Love the BMW! Cheers brotha.

    First!
Planning to take PMP Q2 next year. Your vids are really helpful by the way.
I hope you can make a video about the process of applying (which is a painful process tbh) and pointers for taking the exam. I know it’s a boring content but would be very helpful.

Thanks Jerome! Congrats on deciding that for yourself. And yes it is quite a tedious process - thanks for the video idea :)

That car looks so fast! I'd love to see more financial content too, crypto is pretty volatile and I feel it's hard to see the long term vision of it. I completely agree with you that worth is subjective, the certifications are great but there's so much more to the career such as soft skills like you mentioned. I recently passed the CAPM while I'm working on finishing my bachelor's degree. I will eventually take the PMP but only for paper clout. There are project managers with 30+ years of experience that will tell you they never stop learning, and I think continuously improving technical and soft skills is more important than certifications.
P.S. Cooper is exactly why you're making more money! Haha.

Congrats on the CAPM!! I have no doubt you’ll pass the PMP. Paper clout is a great way to describe it - can definitely add value but should be considered a means to an end. Wish me luck on crypto 😅 I’ll share my experiences in future videos

Hey Sheldon, I am graduate in marketing management. I am from India and I want to go to Canada to study project management and to become a project manager. When I saw profiles of project managers, everyone has degree in engineering. Can non technical person do project management ? Can someone with a business degree become project manager ?
