    On a good running E200k 1.8 litre SC Mercedes put in a plug & display obd2. Voltage for O2 sensor at 0.65V to 0.8V. Throttle valve at about 17.2% open. Air conditioning is switched on. Air intake manifold pressure reading is 0.50atm. Idling 850rpm = piston total displacing volume of 12.75litre/second. MAF at 5.4g/second air flow = 4.9litre of air per second. At ratio of 4.9 : 12.75 the calculated air pressure stucked into cylinder when pistin is at DBC is 0.37 atm or about -0.63barg. This is theortical calculation which exclude the pressure drop across intake valves and the slight extra pressure generated by the vapourised gasoline of 5% to 6% by volume done by the port side fuel injectors. All inclusive there should be about 0.4atm of pressure in cylinder when pistion is at DBC?. Correct? 🤔🤔🤔. OBD2 could not display opening %. of egr. I assumed that EGR valve is close during idling.
    All the above is like a new learning process for me. There was a e200k owner who after repeating visit to a workshop, plus many parts changed out, only later to find out that his abnormal vibrating engine is just due to vacuum leak at hose for PCV.
    Regards to all.

    Hello, On my C180k, the Compressor air pressure tube that fits into the throttle valve jumped at 5500 rpm because the clamp broke... :/ Unfortunately it caused damage to some part. Engine fails at cold idle and cold throttle. When it warms up it improves, but it continues to fail when I press the accelerator lightly. There is no loss of power at "full power" acceleration. What's your opinion? What could be damaged when the tube came loose? Tks for help me

    i don't understand how the STFT was negative, it schould be near the zero
    can you explain me the reasons and thank you

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  6 років тому

      Because of the vacuum leak (un-metered air entering the engine) the O2 sensor reported a lean mixture so the PCM added more fuel to try to get to the correct air fuel ratio (14.7:1) hence the positive LTFT.
      Once the leak was fixed the negative STFT shows the computer has/is leaning off the mixture which will eventually bring down the LTFT until they are both + or - approx 6%
      (In the video you see LTFT 22% and STFT -16% = 6%)

    Pls i need help with my C200k 03, car vibrates so bad on idle with this same sound but immediately i step on the throttle car runs smoothly like nothing is wrong. But when in traffics or idle its vibrates with a dragging sound. Little visible Black smokes from the exhaust on first start in the morning, terrible mileage, most time car wimt accelerate even while engine is running, and most times gear doesnt transit into subsequent gear but only on gear 1. Tunn engine off and start again it accelerates and shifts gear normally.
    What could be the problem.

When you took the MAF Air box out and you released the factory hose clips that are near impossible to get to unless you have an extendable flexible hose clip release tool how in the fuck did you place back the plastic tube in the rubber boot behind near the firewall?

    I have a 2007 180 compressor, it was doing a lot of hunting and spluttering whilst driving, changed the breather pipes and the valve that comes with the kit from mercedes. 2weeks later and the same issue is back, been told it's a common fault with these cars. I did change the Air Mass sensor 4months prior, any ideas or suggestions, have you had an overcome this problem????? Thanks

      They have a known issue with the throttle body and the flap that directs the air down to the Supercharger sticking. It's a pretty easy fix, you need to take the air intake tube off and get access to the throttle body. Get a clean rag and a little non corrosive cleaner and give it a wipe around the inside of the throat. In a day or two you'll notice it improving. It's nothing to cause you concern.

    What's the point makeing the video you don't even show anyone where you actually got the pipe from you just point there so many parts you got to actually show where it is not everyone's a mechanic

    • @OneAuto
      @OneAuto  4 роки тому +7

      Your answer is in the title #Quickclip
      When your in business there isn’t always the time to make a video so a quick vid showing the symptoms, hearing the air leak and marking the area where the hole is with an arrow is as best you get. The video tells you to get the pipe from Mercedes and shows you the old pipe so you know what to look for.
      So if you’re not a mechanic, you now know what the problem is. If you have any level of competence as a DIY’er you might want to attempt it yourself by figuring out how to remove an air filter box. You may look at it and think ‘I can’t do that, I’ll take it to a professional’ Or you may decide to just go make stupid comments on people’s YT videos.
      Either way thanks for watching and adding to my advert revenue.
