- Rarely has a model name been more suitable - the new 420 is outrageously fast, capable and tough. Nick Burnham gets to grips with it.

Nice boat but also not a nice boat. They are slow, small amount of fuel compared the other boats the same size. Bad fuel mileage compared to other out boards the same size. They fishing features suck, Look at Nor-tech, Intrepid, and others. Also with Boston Whaler you are pretty much stuck on options where other builders with customize your boat.
Where are you getting your info? The 420 holds 600 gallons of fuel. That beats every boat in it's class. The Nortech 450 hold 500 gallons. The Panacea hold 550 gallons.
The nortech can add an option of up to just shy off 1000 gallon along with the Intrepid. Both will run circle around the boat with a lot higher cruise speeds. Which relates to better fuel mileage. They both can be highly customized where boston whaler you are very limited. They both have better standard fishing equipment and the list goes on and on. The are both 100% wood free where boston whaler is not
@@kathyjackson4899 Well sugar tits, lots of folks seem to like these, judging by the sales volume.
Interesting. From what I could see of some intrepid reviews, they looked lighter in construction and more like dedicated fishing boats. This is intended as a turn key multi purpose boat. The heavier construction probably accounts for some of the differences you mentioned. Still, I've been watching a great many Haulover inlet videos, and haven't really seen BW's perform badly in tough conditions. Can't say the same for every Intrepid or Nortech I see.
