Only works with “dirty water” not flavored drinks
Flavor molecules are to small to be filtered with this consumer grade filter, but there are more advanced filters to remove even that. These micro-pore filters remove up to 1-3nm sized and larger microbes which are hazardous to human's health.

THE TRUTH is The bottled juices that you tried are solutions with disolvable ingredients totally homogenised in them. The river water, sewer water, mud water found in nature, are waters with suspended particles in it, which can be easily filtered by this straw.

For anyone wondering what that tool was at 7:47 it’s a fencing tool made for making cattle fence. With the jaws you can pull out fencing staples, and the. “ c “ on the side is for cutting wire.

I don't think this is safe as there is still germs in the water
deadbushpotato23 thats what the filter does. The filter takes out all the unwanted stuff and since the “straws” are so fine, they can pick up most if not all of the germs. Besides that’s what your immune system is for to get the very little germs destroyed before anything happens

I actually own a life straw and it works surprisingly well, in multiple situations I have ran out of water and had to use a life straw in a river I would never normally drink from, and I have never gotten sick from it
The straw doesn't say it takes out the flavor it just takes out the contaminants in whatever you're drinking so you're going to taste the flavor whether it's p or Mountain Dew but it's not going to have the contaminants

You should use a clear tube to attach to the suction side of the straw so we can see if it filters out it colors of the drinks.
