He watched his world turn on him; his fellows become his enemies, and did actions most Jedi wouldn't regret as much as he did. Obi-Wan went through hell to get to where he was; and gave it all to give Luke a chance where no one else would. Peace to the Fallen.
One of, without a doubt, the best jedi to have ever lived, the man is what all jedi strive to be, even in the darkest points of your life, you hold strong to your beliefs to your dying breath, doing all the good you can do, before your time comes
Anakin May have been the chosen one physically and power wise . But he sorely lacked the mental and emotional strength to resist the darkside . Obi wan on the other hand lost everything and everyone that he loved and still had the strength to stay in the light. When he had every reason to go to the darkside but didn’t that is why Obi wan was always the stronger one out of him and Anakin because he never gave up or believed that the darkside would solve all his problems the way Anakin foolishly did.
True but Obi Wan did the best he could with Anakin. He trained him as best as he could, despite never having taken a Padawan before. He even kept quiet about Anakin and Padme’s relationship so Anakin could be happy. It’s just unfortunate that Palpatine was the father figure Anakin looked up to

The question I believe is if we take the apprentice series into account because if we do then the Qui-gon that portrays would have had even less of a chance in keeping Anakin from the dark side. That Qui-gon definitely wouldn't have known how to handle Anakin's fears when we know for certain that he gave into his own quite a few times there (See his treatment of Obi-Wan in the earlier parts due to his fear of him turning out the same as Xanathos)
Obi wan kenobi is such a great character he made a big impact in the Star Wars universe. He was there from the beginning and he was just awesome. He is very calm in battle and has many iconic parts. He defeated his enemies and went forward. He helped everyone and was very kind but also fierce in battle. Without obi wan Star Wars wouldn’t be the same.
If Mjolnir were to ever appear in the Star Wars universe, the most worthy person to wield it would be Obi-Wan. This is one of my favorite things to think about. Obi-Wan is one of my favorite characters in not only Star Wars, but in media in general. He's been through so much, has had so many horrible things happen to him and the people around him, and yet he is never tempted by the Dark Side. He never shows any sign of wanting to give in to his grief and anger and sadness, but instead chooses to stay in the light and be good. I think Obi-Wan shows every aspect of Mjolnir's enchantment's definition of "worthyness," and then some. He's one of the worthiest and best characters in fiction.
Obi-wan definitely earns his title out of Jedi master, most are there because of good skilled and unique abilities. Obi-wan is there because of the lessons he’s learned and how he survived all of them.
And while they all tasted and almost gave into the darkside he never once gave into the temptation he stayed pure even to the end through unimaginable loss and pain

My best friends slept with my fiance when I was in a coma from a car accident that paralyzed me. I lost my best friends in one fatal swoop. Obi and Ani hit me so hard. I wish I had thr high ground then. When you lose your best friends as an adult, you realize you can never get that back with anyone. I mentor youngins now, that's all I have left. I miss my beat friend deeply. But I simply can't. I sympathize with obi so much.
You have to learn tot to take it personally, they were too weak to carry their duty of care. your pain will make you stronger if you know how to handle it. much love , I feel your pain

This is my new favorite AMV. Finally some respect to Obi 👌 he trained and beat Darth Vader at his potential strongest, due to Anakins rage and Obis mastery of soresu and IMO Ataru. Then as an old man chose defeat with the finalized, but weaker Darth Vader. Hes battled Maul since a Padawan, and defeated him after years. Obi-Wan is a god damn monster. 🤣
I think if Obi wan had just a little bit more experience, he'd have been able to keep anakin from turning. He had only just been granted the rank of knight when he was given the chosen one as his padawan
Yes. Qwi Gon had good intentions, but his hubris in being absolutely sure that it was the right thing to do, no matter what the Jedi council thought, put a too heavy burden on both Obi Wan and Anakin.
