Because (acapella Beatles cover)
Вставка
- Опубліковано 13 чер 2012
- Here is an acapella version of my re-creation of the Beatles song "Because" from the "Abbey Road" album. After posting a harmony breakdown video of this song which highlights each of the three parts individually, I had received a number of requests for a version that combines all the parts. By the way, if you haven't already seen my video of the full song (instruments and all), it can be found at • Because (Beatles cover)
His clothes match what the Beatles wore during the Abbey Road photo shoot; clever.
rather clever of you to notice as well.
wow
All is on the details ;-)
Very nice study job.
Glad to see this is the top comment :)
I saw it as well
I'm sure you don't expect your audience to be 17-year-old goth girls, and honestly, I had never been a Beatles fan, but I stumbled upon this video and something about this song is just so mesmerizing... I've been listening to The Beatles nonstop for the past few days, and it's mainly thanks to you. :)
Thanks so much! Very happy to share the magic of their music.
The Beatles are actually overlooked and underrated cause everyone goes "Oh their so ubiquitous and famous - I know what is..." and they don't actually dive deeply into their music and their genius
If you ask me which is my favourite Beatles album the answer is Abbey Road. Why? BECAUSE
Because what?
John Last
I told you once.
King Robert no u didnt! jk monty python reference there
@@MrTafyism He may be arguing in his spare time :-D
Because, Something
I've always thought this was one of The Beatles most beautiful songs, and you've provided yet another dimension to appreciating their genius. I occasionally try to sing along to this song, but always end up floating between John and Paul's voices. Thanks for an awesome breakdown!
I do the exact same thing. And I can never find George's part haha
@@chippchipp1 same!
I know exactly what you mean!
Same here brother.
We Lub you, yeah, yeah, yeah
You nailed it. It's sounds so beautiful. This shows how the Beatles were simply geniuses.
Believe me..that 3 part harmony is not easy!!😁👍👍💓💗❤
George Harrison hallo George!
Why is it hard ? The music is written to notes and you read it and sing your part...
All music is written in 4 part harmony, soprano, alto, tenor, bass... You find your part on the scale and sing your notes..
@@frandanco6289 just curious, do you sing?
8 years late, but this is more than gold.
Great music is Never Late....
He is in three because the Beatles triple tracked their harmony on the song.
I'm 51 now, but when I was 26, in a rock band with a guitarist that was several years younger than me, he had been "discovering" many Beatles tunes at the time [he had loved many of their more "prominent" songs like most of the general public always had/has] but when he came across this song he was BLOOWWWWNNN AWAY! He listened to it over, and over, and over...reveling in these harmonies. I turned my 17 year-old son onto the Beatles and he, like MANY youth of today, is discovering the genius of "the Fab Four." Even my 13 yr-old daughter had to conceit, after watching the Beatles perform at Shea Stadium, via good ol' UA-cam, the Beatles were a bigger sensation than Justin Bieber (barf) will ever be, and their music will ever endure.
Charles Pruett I am 15. Nobody seems to be beatlemaniac in my family, anyway when I was 14 I had a voice in my head that made me look up The Beatles. I don't know how i lived without their music.
I am the weird kid under my family and friends' perspective, listening to 50 years old music. I cannot be happier! Finally i found real music. They are my favorite band and will ever be. Their lyrics are so poetic and their melodies speak the same or even more! It is great that i also got to "discover" some great artists as Dylan and Bowie.
Especially these days songs have dumb or no messages.
I would love to have a beatlemaniac father 😊 But i will sure be a beatlemaniac mother!

Another Lennon masterpiece.
It is a masterpiece. although I never cared for the line "love is old, love is you." I realize that is incredibly picky, and my opinion and $2.50 will get you on the subway, but, for me, that line always detracted from what is a great piece of work.
@@kenelkins1841 Love is old, love is new
Love is all, love is you.......makes perfect sense to me
@@1960taylor I hear you. It's just one of those things for me. Not a big deal. The whole arrangement is just amazing. The vocals are brilliant.
@@kenelkins1841 I’m not understanding what about that particular line distracts you. Strange
Yes, it's a masterpiece.
This guy is AWESOME. How many groups, if any. have successfully covered the Beatles? And this guy KILLS it SOLO?Wow!
Jan. 2020. Back again to this great remake.
Jan. 2021 Back to this remake
Bloody fantastic! You've nailed all 3 harmonies and I don't think anyone but you, except the Beatles, could have pulled this off. This should be shown, listened to, taught in music classes and talked about around the world. Oh, did I mention that you just happen to have a beautiful voice, perfect and/or relative pitch and an outstanding vocal range? Just my two cents (pence, whatever......). Please! Keep it up. This is a favorite!
Probably my favorite part about the song is at 1:06 when they change the harmony to a major chord and then the chord they sing at 1:12 is beautiful
this song was possibly their best harmonies
These harmony breakdowns you provide are wonderful! This helps me immensely to prepare for recording with my band from the 1970's, the Beatles songs you provide. You're an exquisite singer that has the music ear that I also have, but I haven't used it to this degree in years. Thanks for your help. You're awesome!!
YES - now my choir can learn it too - I am stoked!
What great vocal control. So precise! Exceptionally keen ear as well as voice. I LOVE your work. Donation will follow!
Jan Miller Thanks so much!
unbelievable really..the comprehension and talent to pull something like this off..is for the most part .unconcievable for a unexperienced listener...so for the listener..understand me when I say.
.incredible !!!.....this is truely a remarkable performance
Mike
Andrew, wonderful voice!
Your version (on the Internet) is the best that I found so far. Most all of the choral groups that I've seen attempting this piece, seem to be over emphasizing one or another of the parts. However, your rendition (a cappella with yourself) is PERFECTLY spot-on and balanced. Kudos, and Thx (again - Id Est: I came from your other video, regarding the "breakdown" of this song!)
InRe, your video described as "instruments and all": I'll be sure to check it out.
My sister said, "He is an alien from another planet". And I tend to believe it.
Droc Halsey, I agree!!!! (ALMOST as good as the Beatles, but u kno, nobody can be THAT good)
+Benjamin Filardo
Here, here! (Or should that be, "hear, hear?")
Cheers,
Really good job Lub. Thank you so much. I've been listening to the Beatles music since 1963. In this song in particular, it appears that the brain simply picks out the notes that it finds best as the song rolls on. That becomes the melody that I know. I've had to completely unlearn that in order to do this song. Thank you for this wonderful production.
Thank you very much. I’m glad you enjoyed it. (I also have a video of the full song with the instruments.)
I just listened to your version and the original at the same time, and yours is absolutely spot on. I couldn't hardly hear ANY deviation. That is amazing. Well done.
This is superbly reproduced.
My only criticism of this beautiful piece is that it ends too soon. Back in the day, early eighties, I first acquired a DX7 and I borrowed somebody's 4-track Portastudio (remember them?)
Once I had figured out how to use them, the very first thing I recorded was my own eight-minute long version of "Because". It wasn't easy but I was proud of the results. For some strange reason which I can't recall, I had it in my head that the song was in D minor rather than C# minor so I had to sing Paul's parts even higher than the original. I can barely hear those high notes today, never mind sing them!
I have always loved singing in harmony and there are very few songs which are such a pleasure to perform along with other singers who know what they are doing.
"Because" isn't easy to perform but it's magnificently rewarding to do whenever you get the chance. These days, I'd have to do George rather than Paul!
Thank you, and thanks for sharing your memories. When the first Portastudio came out, I was 12 years old, and dreamt of getting one someday. Three years later, I was able to borrow a “sound-on-sound” reel-to-reel (not quite the same as actual multitrack recording, but it was a start. Two years after that, I bought a Yamaha 4-track recording “system” (it was more affordable than the Tascam).
@@AllYouNeedIsLub Such exciting times! Suddenly being able to make multi-track recordings, albeit on cassette tapes, in your own home was an even bigger breakthrough than polyphonic synthesisers in my view. Everything seemed possible at that point.
That was a Great!! Breakdown of the three parts That is one of my all time favorite Harmonies
That.....................WAS freakin' phenomenal. Simply beautiful. I'm not easily impressed......this blew me away.
I'm glad I took the extra step to listen to all the parts together. I love doing harmonies and this is pure gold to me. Excellent listen here!!
Andrew: THIS IS INCREDIBLE. Thank you so much for putting this together for us! God bless you.
Thank you so much!
Woow... That was the closest beatles cover i ever heard " U were awesome dude !
BEAUTIFUL!!! My little son love this song, he ask me to repeat one and over again from the LOVE album :)
I am blown away! this is an amazing cover. I must say it's one of my favorites out there
Thanks! The LOVE album version was not why I made this. I had already posted my video of the full song (with instruments), and then a harmony breakdown video showing each part individually. A number of people had requested an acapella version so they could hear all three parts together. I had already created a vocal-only audio mix, so it was just a matter of editing the video to go with it.
how dare you flaunt your obvious talent in front of us who are without ! thank you.
breathtaking and beautifully done, by far the best version a notch above even the original, wow!!
This is wonderful.
Thank you for the great cover and the harmony breakdown. It has helped me greatly in making an arrangement for the show choir I am in. Great work.
VERY nicely done. Can't imagine a better cover of this.
Love that the outfit for every voice matches what Paul, John and George wear on the album cover
This is really good. It actually made me cry, I love you for this, sir.
When you paused in between lyrics and looked down, why did I immediately think of the Brady Bunch?? On a serious note, this is amazing! Thanks for posting. I also really enjoyed your video of the harmony breakdown.
Love how you are wearing the abbey road clothes to identify the singer
Well done. Always loved this song’s lyrical word play.
That was amazing 😍 Because will always be my favorite Beatles song.
Why do i tear up everytime I hear this.... It is so beautiful....
Then, ...."You never give me your money" I just know that everyone is silently singing that! Great job here.
Absolutely beautiful! I think I have always tuned into this melody because it's an open harmony in minor and it also results in a drone-like effect. Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you!
You look quite a bit like the older Paul (Faul?), by the way. And your vocal range is tremendously wide. Your pitch is perfect. The world needs more people like you.
No, Just Paul. No Faul.
He doesn't have those iconic eyebrows
Skippy Bean who the current Paul or the youtuber? Also yes he does. Paul’s eyebrows are just thinner from age but he still has them. They’re there.
Because... nine of your faces put together is epic. Love it! Subscribed!
Fantastic, really gives me a new appreciation for this song...
I like how you closed your mouth a little sideways on Johns parts to get that choked tone, really inspired.
Positively brilliant.
Love the way you move your head up or down with the notes haha
Superb! A great and faithful tribute to The Beatles beatifully sung and is the closest I've heard to the Fab Four. Well done.
The best Beatles cover In history in My opinion
Omg I remember listening to this song on my Dad's/my original xbox. To preface the rest I was born Mar.20.2001. but this song was so freaking amazing to me as a little kid kinda funny I'd go from being a 4 year old killing covenant and simultaneously playing my first call of duty and playing a huge part in almost every single major WW2 theatre. Anyways tldr this man helped me find the exact Beatle's song I was mistifyed by and it doesn't even sound bad it's like a really good singer on American Idol or The Voice singing a classic great work random British man -random American teenager
It makes one to appreciate the song even more. Thanks
Excelent your beatles work study, and brillant your voices.
Congratulation, you are great.
That is some top shelf Beatle enthusiasm...excellent
This is a great breakdown of the vocals for this song.
Oh that's beautiful!! Nice!!
Fantastic! Wonderful job.
phenomenal. Couldn't get much better
This has to be the most talented piece of work I've ever seen.
Very cool! I watched your other video with the vocal breakdown as well. I'm not much of a singer but I've found that the middle harmony whenever listening to harmonies is the hardest to get. Anyway, great stuff man!
Glad you like it. This isn't an acapella "arrangement" per se, just the unaccompanied voices from my full re-creation of the song (there's a link for that one in the video description above, if you're interested). If I were to do an acapella arrangement, I would keep the bottom part (George) where it is (those notes need to stay where they are), but perhaps add a fourth part singing the root of the chords.
Thank you. I used Final Cut Express to edit the video.
Ringo, go make some tea, we're busy.
Lol Ringo was there, keeping tempo for them
Ringo carried the flowers
"Tea"😎✌
Quit railing on the drummer. He's probably the one who suggested they triple the harmonies to get the nine parts. Ringo is the Yogi Berra of rock.
That's hella uncalled for lol
I love that you changed outfits for each part lol
Thanks. RE: a metronome, I did a full version of this song (with instruments--link is in the video description above). When recording the instruments, I used the Beatles' original recording as a timing reference. I then turned off the original and sang to my instrumental tracks.
I was skeptical but this is marvelous!
This guy deserves so many more subs.
God dammit only 4k views? This deserves at least 5 million views! Amazing.
Everybody is always waiting for that next ahhhh. It never comes.
Two enthusiastic thumbs up!!!
The very first Zoom Choir in history, really great.!!!!
This is just amazing.
Incredible job.
Mamma mia......Mr.Thomas Riley said it and I repeat: I can not get enough.
Olga Gr, haha lol me too
nice job on such a simple but clever song
UMA GRAÇA, AMO "BECAUSE" ! À CAPELLA CONTIGO FICOU LINDO !
And another incredibly GOOD performance
"Good Vibrations" is a great song. Are you requesting just the vocals, or the whole arrangement? That would be quite an undertaking. I was thinking of putting up a version of the song "Our Prayer" from the "Smile" album.
Beautiful!
ADORE THIS. Beautiful meshing!
Thanks a lot for this video and the first with separate voices. Very good job and it's very beautiful...MERCI !
Gorgeous. Your vocal overtones lock in so perfectly with each other, it sounds almost like...like..one guy singing all 9 parts!
This guy is crazy good.
Just beautiful! Thanks for inviting me to listen.
So greaaaat! Congratulationsss! Oh my god, I loved it!
Esta armonia es magica
Just so beautifully and expressively done, thank you !!!
So cool, i look forward to our own version with my friends of my gospel choir
beautiful, one of the Beatles best song♡♡
Phenomenal!
Thank you again....this is so great.
Beautiful rendition of a great song.
Well done. You're awesome.
Beautiful
Wow. Just wow. Beautiful, perfect harmony!
