This is a very underrated game,The soundtrack is just amazing, one of the best on the N64. Minor problems such as camera angles and bad frame rate can be annoying sometimes, but they sure don't take away from the great experience that this game delivers.
I think the series as a whole is really underrated. The SNES one was awesome. The two N64 ones were good. I want to see more of these in the future if Konami ever gave a crap.
This game is a combination between Zelda and Japanese cartoons which is a great unique combo creation as a Chinese game,this game is so extremely rare so is the series.

I was only 13 when I first played this game back in 1997. I fell in love with Japan immediately because of this game. I remember how the Shinto torii would transport you to another world, that always mesmerized me because as a kid I knew those existed in Japan. It really allowed a kids imagination to soar to new heights. Will always have a spot in my heart.

Mystic Ninja Starring Goeman was under rated big time. It’s a great Japanese adventure, the music is epic and the storyline is so amazing. It was indeed one the best gams on N64 and it was a classic. This game makes me wanna go to Japan and explore its cultures.

I remember renting this game from Blockbuster as a kid during the winter break. And it took me so long to beat the game. I finally beat it on the last night of the rental, I think I played it for 10 to 12 hours and had to take it back the next day, it was worth it.

Beat this game like 5 times as a kid. And my god is the soundtrack amazing, like come on this is miles ahead of other game of its time. Played the second one too and loved that one too. RIP to this franchise and to Konami.

The Gourmet Food Submarine actually is what got me into culinary as a preteen. Seeing the different dishes so colorfully displayed and portrayed really made me wonder about how it all tasted, then came the wonders of the internet and online recipes. Legendary title.
I used to rent this game as a kid. My highlight/goal was to get to the Impact fight and then I'd reset and do it again. I distinctly remember that I could do the entire Mt Fuji and Oedo Castle sequence in less than ten minutes. This game will always be one of my deepest memories. DASH DASH DASH

The feelings i got from this game, are unmatchable as compare to all other games i have played. Enchanting and magical vibes. I couldn't complete the game as i was very young and got stuck on the candly level.
The crazy fever dream that was this game helped shape my childhood and made me realize how important good video game design and storytelling could be in a game. If this ever becomes available on the Switch, I will be eternally grateful.

Um, guys, I just noticed something The protagonist of this and the protagonist of the anime/cartoon Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (also known as Samurai Pizza Cats) both have a girlfriend, both of them are like geishas, and both are hotheads. not to mention the fact that the protagonist of this and the protagonist of Kyatto Ninden Teyandee both shout "Teyandee" a lot and both seem to be in the Edo period... I don't know if it's just a coincidence because there's some deep story that both things are based off of but I just can't stop thinking about how they're connected

it had a sequel in the form of Goemon's Great Adventure, but after that, the series started to die, and we haven't seen a proper title since 2005.

This was the original Roguelike for me. I had to restart from the beginning of the game every time because my N64 didn't have a memory card.

Never played this myself but it was my brother's favourite N64 game. I really enjoyed the music when I was watching him play, especially in the haunted castle. That was my favourite.

The protagonist of this and the protagonist of the anime/cartoon Kyatto Ninden Teyandee (also known as Samurai Pizza Cats) both have a girlfriend, both of them are like geishas, and both are hotheads. not to mention the fact that the protagonist of this and the protagonist of Kyatto Ninden Teyandee both shout "Teyandee" a lot and both seem to be in the Edo period... I don't know if it's just a coincidence because there's some deep story that both things are based off of but I just can't stop thinking about how they're connected
2023 i finally found this game 😂me and my dad would play this all the time when I was kid, I’ve been having nostalgic moments where it pops up in my head and I get the urge to find it
