The love handle wheels are similar in width to the originals at 50mm wide, the fat free wheels are narrower with only 37mm of contact with the ground, similar substitutes would be the love handle wheels at the front with 65mm and the 4 president wheels with 70mm at the back.

I am in Australia, $AUS/$US is roughly $0.70. So SmoothStar wheels will be cheaper for me. I really want to try other wheels.
I love my SmoothStar Toledo 77. I also ride on flat ground, where I am trying to improve my surfing first.

yeah I found the orangatang, seismic, and carver to be the best alternatives. I like the option of different durometers...might be worth it for you!

I think it would really depend on your weight, and how much grip you want. you will have to test it out for sure!

Fat free are slidy. The 4 pres wheels are grippy and still slide when you force them.
