This is not a Minecraft challenge video, just building in Minecraft 1.18 Hardcore Mode Lets Play, or hard mode, medieval style and mega bases, castles, custom islands, and more.
This man’s got amazing ideas for a huge base and I’m just here living in little hobbit holes all the time and worrying about everything being aligned on chunk borders

Hey great video, just one question, are you running any optimisation mods? Might be worth to check out, sometimes your footage is choppy because of chunk loading / creation. (I recommend running fabric with a bunch of optimisation mods, of course everything is vanilla.)

Perhaps you're subconsciously using the sun for orientation? Some people do it IRL without noticing, and while I'm new here I imagine you've been playing for a while so you're probably used to it!

What mods do you have installed? You seem to get some stuttering while generating chunks, you can probably fix that with Sodium, Lithium, Phosphor and other mods (you might know it already but they're basically the more modern and often faster performance mods compared to OptiFine)

what mod do you use for the cape?
its not a mod, I changed the texture of my migrator cape in my game files to something else. Unfortunately it cant be applied through a texture pack, you have to go through the files and manually change it. And, while I made the elytra textures for it, I didn't make the cape textures, so I dont feel entirely comfortable releasing the textures anymore

Unrelated to video but there is a UA-camr named Howzeiky who is recreating game mechanics from Breath of the Wild. I think you guys should do a collab because you are making the map and he is making the game mechanics. It makes perfect since.

yeah im pretty sure whoever said monuments are rare are full of shit ive done like three worlds where i kind of just wander around and make maps and ive encountered an actually unprecedented amount of monuments. like they have never been rare to me

partly, I had been thinking about restarting again but your comments really summed up all of my thoughts for me and made me realize that I needed to take a step back and kind of do the season 3/4 style again. Obviously this style of video is slightly different, but thats because the old style didn't have enough in it, and could get boring after a while (which is why season 4 got repetitive)

you bet I am, its just taking time. I've scaled up the whole map, so ive been rebuilding the great plateau all over again. redoing it has been fatiguing, but once I get past the plateau again (im very close to), ill pick up the pace and get going on the next part of the project. I plan to have part 2 out in under a month.
@@Grazzyy i was going to comment that on the actual video, that maybe the map could be upscaled. I noticed potential problems like the Castle island being too small , the Temple was soooo dope but because the map was scaled down it almost dwarfed the south side of the map XD! Im also building a BOTW map on console over on my Minecraft channel so im glad you’re tackling it too! Part 1 was so amazing to see come together! Keep up the good work!

@daf I did watch someone else. I was just trying to point out thay sucsessful youtube minecrafters dont use a face cam to make videos. Maybe this kid could get more of a following with just a minecraft persona. I wantes to checkout a new series but i couldn't stand watching him the whole time. So i posted a comment saying such to possibly help him in the future.
