CHINATOWN & LITTLE INDIA Food Hunting In Yangon, Myanmar

- Really hate that I lost such a massive portion of the video, but I guess it is what it is!
However, I am grateful that I still get to show you all the Little India and Chinatown portions of this video!!
Knowing there is a huge influence from Thailand, India, and China had me really fired up to finally get to visit Myanmar!
While it may have many influences, Burmese cuisine, is still unlike anything I have tried before. Taking all these influences and creating something so unique and truly their own.
From samosas in Little India to unique Baozi in Chinatown and delicious sweet treats in each, I really enjoyed this Yangon food tour and my first ever experience in Myanmar!
Definitely a place to get back to soon and do some more food exploration.

Thanks Buddy! It is just how it goes sometimes!
Too bad about the lost footage. Glad to experience what you do have. Burmese food looks delicious with all it's various influences. Beer looked surprisingly cold, big difference from neighboring Thailand 👍💯
I’m so glad to be done with the holidays, now I can get back to catching up on your videos!

Definitely heard the CRUNCH Max 😂 great content as always.Thank you
Yayyyy,love the work,keep it up
People who say Burmese foods are not good are those who didn’t do their research properly. Can’t just walk around and eat at any restaurant you see at road side. We have lots and lots of awesome foods from different parts of our country and different ethic groups. In Yangon, you can find almost all the foods traditional and international. If you want more authentic foods, can travel up to mandalay, Kalaw (Shan), Kachin and others. Weather and scenery there are better too. Even locals find it difficult to choose what to eat because there’re too many. Thanks a lot to Max for showcasing our foods and enjoying them.
I love this channel .Max you're doing so much to introduce new food :) 💎💎💎! ❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙏😁
Delish Max!!!! I'm so sorry to hear about your memory card 😥 Thank you so much for sharing!

Sorry to hear that your video memory card got damaged. Hope that you tried Chinese Kyay-oh in Rangoon China Town. Yep, those steam soups are damn good (little bit salty for my taste) but peck with flavor. I missed late nights street foods in Rangoon.
Ahhh, I didn't get to this trip! Maybe I can try my next visit! Thank you for informing me and will definitely look for it next time.
Awesome food video 🍜👌🏼👍... u sounds like u have colds or flu . Winter weather in the U.S.

Happy new year Max ... I'm also from Arkansas.
That's awesome! Always good to hear from someone from my home state! Happy New Years to you as well!
Delicious food
So sorry that you lost some of the video of your food adventure in Myanmar. On the positive side, this would be a good reason to plan for another visit to Myanmar in future to explore more on the food and culture there. Myanmar is a country that is unknown to most of us who live in neighbouring South East Asian countries due to their decades of close door policy. I am rather surprise that you have Chinatown and Little India in Myanmar too.
I know, but it is like what my mother said, "it is what it is". But I agree, I would love to go back and get into the countryside. I still do not know much about Burma cuisine so I would like to learn more.
@@Macoi24 Despite loosing some footage, your video is still very informative and turn out well. 👍👍👍
Thanks for visiting my country ❤
please try coconut noddle and monhinga next time'''
ookay yes! I would like to! I didnt get to this time:(
The first noodle is Shan Noodle, it looks like 999 Shan noodle shop.......shootttt... damn it... I am watching it after midnight... and this is torturing :) I give up now... I'm gonna head to the kitchen now ... I hope you will come back again to Myanmar near future. :) thanks for sharing the food tour video. "food will bring us together and if you can't conquer the country, conquer the stomach" :)
Those noodles makes me want to go home so bad
Would i be right in saying that you loved the pork ribs 😀
Starting of 2020 pretty pretty awesome 👏👏👍God bless you love from 🇮🇪☘️💕
❤❤❤😁🙏
Hi Max , I would highly recommend Shan state when things are better
WE ARE AFGHANI UA-camRS AND WE LOVE YOU MAN 🙏😊

I'm wondering. What's the best dish in Asian you've ever had?
That foods look amazing! Do you have the names of restaurants you visit?
Ohhh, I do not. I was just along for the ride with the tour guide. sorry about that.
Burmeseeee Most of the stuff here looks pretty much like Thai food ..? except for that grilled ginkgo, We're that close of the countries I guess and dang, yer from the US?? I thought you're from somewhere Canada. Nice chill vlog as always!
haha nah, I am from the south!!! Thanks soo much!
Max!!! Now I'm getting more confused... should I go to Hanoi or Yangon?!! Both cities really giving that foodie vibe 😍😍😍 I plan to have a short trip on Good Friday...
Hmmm, I think maybe go to which is easiest to travel? Im not sure what your passport is, but I know VN is easier, well cheaper as far as visa goes for me. Since I am on a budget, that is always a factor in where I travel.
@@Macoi24 I am Indonesian passport holder - and I still can get free visa for a month to both Vietnam and Myanmar. Both countries are too good to be missed!
wooooo.... yummy 😋 😘😘😍😍
Thanks you
You still got love from us!

Hey Max, whst is your favorite country food?
WELCOME home! I bet your momma is over the moon! Do your thing while you’re here. I’d love to see what my neighbor is eating and up to. Enjoy.!!!
Thanks brother! It sure has been lot of relaxing. about ready to get back on the road!
How much you pay for that food tour guide in Burma? Can you share a link please? Thanks.
Yes, the link is in my description!
Crunchtastic😍
Must thank you for those new vocabularies.. Umami creamines.. keep diggin' in.. hahahaha
Thank you welcome🇲🇲😍😋
Goat meat samosa sounds great!
Mr. McFarlin, you seemed to skip a lot of Indian cuisine as there are only about four videos on India. Did you end up getting food poisoning in India and therefore left early. Anyway, good to see you back in South East Asia and its varied cuisine.
Noope, this is part of a collaboration so i am going to places that have a chefs tours and that was three places in India. But I am actually going back really soon.
Roasted duck in Yangon is very good
fully noted😁
@@Macoi24 There's a famous mohinga stall on Inya Road that serves mohinga with very good home made fishballs... It's known as the most expensive mohinga in town among the locals 😅... Definitely a place not to miss for breakfast... Overall, I prefer the food in Mandalay over Yangon 😆
Hi Max , Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year . How is it to be home ? Do they have you milking cows or mucking out the barn ? Lol Looks like beautiful country behind you. Great show, can't wait for the next one.
haha it feels strange to be honest! I will make some videos to show you!
Thanks for visiting my country
