    I don’t understand all the hate for this guy. It’s clear he doesn’t work in his boots - he recognizes that. BTW yeah he’s Vietnamese, so what!? Realize he’s giving props to American made products that’s keeping Americans employed and I just bought a pair. You’re welcome! I’ve seen some reviews by working guys that barely cover half the items in this video and understandably so; they are working hard making a living while this guy is living life and contemplating his boots. I appreciate the review and thoroughness of the content. Thanks and keep up the great work!

      You're very welcome Gentleman Within. I'm curious whether you also opted for the wider (EE) width when you sized down or did you just break in the regular width?. I went down 1/2 size and ordered both the regular and wide versions. The regular is a hair narrow. but the (EE) feels a little wide. Any advice on which version to keep?

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  5 років тому +1

      that's a tough one because i'm in a similar boat. the regular is a bit narrow and so i'd like to think a wide would've been the better choice, esp since i like to wear thick socks with rugged boots like these. I'd stick with the regular though as they will continue to break in through the next dozen or so wears.

    • @DonBMW

      Ok. I finally got a great fit! Ordered the same size as my ASICS 9.5D and the fit on these Thorogood’s is awesome. Summary order usual size.

    Been wearing these for years. I’m a sheet metal worker and they are not under $200 if you need a steel toe. Plus 8” high.
    If you send them in to get reconditioned professionally they are like new again. For about $100 for the service. Best boot I’ve ever worn.

    these are my favorite Moc Toes. I have owned them for a year and love them thus far. I like how they don't look like clown shoes on me, which is an issue with all the major competitors. I got the black, but almost got the same ones you have. I didn't like the MADE IN USA tag, but have come to like it. they are the most versatile rugged boots IMO. I do like the soft leather. they aren't the best quality, but they are great and I love the storm welt. That is what sold me and I'm glad I got one. They are good in all weather.

    Thorogood boots are fantastic, and I own a couple pairs. I recommend them to people with total confidence. I have a decent amount of experience with them, and I see them frequently on job sites and in public(Midwest winter.) I find it very hard to believe you've worn them for 4 years on any kind of regular basis. They just don't look like that anymore after a few dozen wears. Not to say they wear poorly. They look amazing after being broken in. I just don't think you've worn yours much. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    • @gentwithin
      @gentwithin  6 років тому +2

      I only wear them during late fall through winter and I don't work on job sites. They're just everyday casual boots for me and so they don't get beat up, hence why they look so clean. But I've had 'em the past 4 winter seasons and worn em several dozen times at least. And I agree, great boots.
