I watched Ivan Marks fishing with an old screw in tip he never worried about sinking the line and he was fishing an 8 foot tail and hitting Rudd up in the water at 60 yards. 1982 Game Fair.
Great advice as per usual Mr Speed.
Good video especially info about holding your rod slightly further forward if you want to fish just past your mark .
Cheers for that Nick, I always struggle hitting the clip. But I will try this, I know practice makes perfect.🤞🤞🤞🤞👍👍
Let us know how it went, Andy!
Can always take something away from these video's trying to personalise my fishing more. Going back to rod work is fun 👍 4:09
Good video Nick, thanks
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙂
Thanks Nick. Just for clarification when bringing the rod back to cast do you swing the feeder to the left or right side of the rod. Just wondering which is better for accuracy?
Thanks Nick, just one question. Having watched most of your videos I have never seen you reel in while lowering your rod. Why have you started doing this? Thanks
He does explain this in the video - it gives him some protection from fish running, “a safety blanket”. It gives an opportunity to unclip if he needs to.
Great video, thanks for sharing 👍
Thanks for watching!
that's sorted a problem i had
Glad to hear that!

Why not fish in the edge on the far bank? 😂
Often thought that myself especially when most catches are from the margins!
Why not just fish from the swim your casting to and drop it in? Makes absolutely no sense to cast the width of the lake
Cos he's teaching you how to cast properly..
Because those big troll fish like like to sit on the far bank
@@mattrowntree3359 wouldn't need to if he taught people how to fish
