I'm Jason, a full-time British Travel Vlogger and UA-camr who's been to 55 countries. I've been travelling around the world full-time since 2017. So far, my trips have taken me to Asia, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas.
I have travel series' from many of the world's best (and least) known destinations. I filmed the first vlogs on my channel in the summer of 2016 after spending a year living in China. A proper solo trip around Eastern Europe followed after graduating from University in the summer of 2017, taking me to Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Kosovo. This trip marked the start of my efforts to make a UA-cam full-time job.
After that European trip I went heavily into exploring Asia, visiting India, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Pakistan, the Philippines, South Korea and Kazakhstan (seeing me cover a lot of Far East and Southeast Asia in particular).
I have also travelled to North Africa and the Middle East fairly extensively over the last five years, filming videos in Turkey, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Jordan, Israel and Palestine.
To date, I have not yet been to Australasia or South America. Though I am hoping to visit the latter sometime in 2022, along with a first stop in the Caribbean.
I've travelled to North America just once as a UA-camr, visiting Mexico in 2021. Though I have been to both the USA and Canada, this was as a child on family holidays.
So far in 2022, I've taken my first trip to Sub Saharan Africa, visiting both Kenya and Tanzania, before heading to the Middle East, stopping in Dubai and Lebanon. Europe followed, covering both the Greek and Turkish sides of Cyprus, and afterwards going back to Italy for the second time to cover Milan and Sicily. In the summer I visited the Caribbean for the first time, spending over a month in the Dominican Republic, before stopping in Belgium on my way home.
After shooting some videos in Taiwan, I made my way to the Philippines for the second time.
#davao #philippines #mindanao

Thanks Daniel
You're back!!!
Congratulations to you for this remarkable video about Davao City, The Philippines taking a great walks across the city @ the Market in November of 2022❤❤❤
So brave of you to try the local chocolate drink and durian :) Both are known to cause a spike in blood pressure. :D That's why we avoid having both foods at the same time :D We usually make the local cocoa into a chocolate porridge called champurrado :) Soooo good!
High Blood pressure has nothing to do with eating durian and chocolate.
But increase in heart beat due to caffeine in chokolate.
So true every Drink i try gives me temporary Diabetes lolol Buko and this red Drink , Mango etc
tablea drink is... sa tinood lang kay good para sa high blood. becoz Cocoa is rich in FLAVONOLS... Durian on the other hand will raise heart rate and will give body heat.
Great place
Very interesting and informative. Loved the market, the food and the history lesson.
Thanks Patricia!

Hey Jason, Welcome to Davao city! I came across your channel from your Tanzania vlog ( my mother land) and now your in Davao where I live 😮 I enjoy watching your videos ❤
keep it up jason always with some great content bro
This video was CLASSIC. Great information about Davao.
Welcome home Jason. I hope to see you around..
Hi the most remembered to me from your travel vlog is when you go to Saudi Arabia . Thanks for coming in the Philippines. Stay safe and God bless.
Eating Durian in the street/outside will not offend anyone especially in Davao, they are used to people eating that there..But it was a good idea not eating Durian with Hot Chocolate coz I dont think it’s a good combination might give you a tummy ache and a lot of trips to the loo😅 Locals in Davao eat it with Coke/Pepsi on the side, well that’s what my friends told me when I went there😬
Welcome to Philippines Jason. Enjoy!
Thank you Jason for visiting my country Philippines .
I’m from davao and watching this video just makes me miss my hometown so much! 😔😔 i live at bonifacio so close to where you were staying 😊

ty for for your visiting Davao City sir and God Bless you 😊❤️
Thank you for the video, I'm glad to see you back!! Enjoy Mindanao! See if you can try palapa while you're there. it's a spicy condiment that might as well be called 'Filipino kimchi'. it's a speciality of Muslim Filipinos and has become quite famous here. It's fully vegan, and it's delicious if you love a bit of spice.
If you're into cultural stuff too too, you might be able to catch some kulintang music there, it's the centuries old traditional lively gong-chime ensemble music of the Southern Philippines, that predates the Spanish colonial period by many centuries. it's one of the signature cultural icons of Mindanao and one for the prides of the Philippines.
Never been to Samal there so looking forward to what you make of it! 😊
I consider atsara as the filipino kimchi haha
Thank you, Jason, I am heading there in March

tweet: I see that you are now among a handful of repeat visitors in the Philippines' Islands, Jason B. Enjoy strolling memory lane in and around Islands. It's becoming wintry cold now in the west side of the River -- wish we had the warmer climate where you are now in Davao City. We've seen some of your brethren perusing thru Makati City recently. Welcome Back! be blessed. nov2022.

What an informative vlog, nice one Jason👏
I have never tried durian before, the smell is quite strong. Maybe time to give it a go! I think food from the Phillipines is often one of the unrated Asian cuisines. It’s an amazing mixture of influences. Davao looks like it has a big small town vibe. Looks like the climate is quite tropical? Thanks for the video great to have you back on here
Yeah it’s quite a tropical climate, you’ll see that on the next video from Samal Island.
many foods smells, but tastes good (depending on your taste bud). I grew up around the Davao area, so I am very accustomed to durian.. and for me, like all foods that has scent, it just makes me want to eat them, sometimes you can tell from the smell being tasty or not (the durian) that is. There's only a handful of variety that these days, I'm willing to eat (as they are the best varieties).
also don't eat it inside hotels! The scent will last a whole week, renders the room unrentable. A lot of hotels bans this fruit in their establishment.
Typhoon free...

Thanks you so much for this remarkable video about Davao City, The Philippines @ the Market trying to tastes the fruit calls Duraine November of 2022❤❤❤
Thank you sir for visiting Davao City esp Roxas Night Market , it was me who accidentally poured the water in your shirt because of rain 😁 I hope it was your most unforgettable experience in Davao aside from enjoying our beautiful city. Keep safe always and God bless you. See you again.....
This is an awesome comment!😀😀
Serious question. Why do you say "beautiful city" What makes it beautiful to you? Not joking, i'm just wondering. Thank you.
@@Krushe Davao city is one of most developed city in mindanao, so for us its already a beautiful city 😄
Welcome back to the Philippines 🌱🇵🇭
Wow. Durian is the king of fruits
And my favorite
Love that durian,looks yummy
Hi, u have to go Pearl Farm Resort in Samal island. That place is awesome.
That was a really commendable thing to consider that the people around you might have been bothered by the smell. Big ups for that. Also you'll see a no durian sign inside hotels. At first I thought it's cuz of the spikes on the skin that it could be used as a weapon but it turns out it's bcuz of the smell haha
Oh my gosh. I dreamed of you someday you will visit Davao. Finally. 😁 Welcome to Davao City!
Haha, thanks!
Hi im from davao, im more than happy to tour you around my city
Hi jason welcome to davao enjoy
Thanks!
Nice, will try durian.
Stay in Davao we will give you the unconditional love 💕 1 million subscribers guaranty.
Durian is my Fav. and Balut. The food I will miss about in the Philippines is Davao. Have you already visited the park, like Philippine Eagle and Crocodile Park? My husband likes in Philippine Eagle, he really amazed a lot of eagles.
hi. thank you for visiting davao
very good video, capturing the feeling and experience in the market in Davao. You should have waited out the busy place in the evening market for the grilled meats! I have been to PI 3x, never tried durian nor balut, power on mate. FYI the island is called KAH MEE GIN with a hard G
Thanks for that!
I love learning Tagalog! Texas here! Paalam 👋
heyyy.. for sure Durian's smell wouldn't annoy us. hehehe btw, welcome to Davao City!!!
I was born here , cool vid thank you
Glad you liked it!
Ang ganda ng Davao
Love the Philippines amazing people
Agreed, some of the friendliest people you’ll find anywhere in the world.
Thank you for visiting my hometown. Proud DVOeno here. I hope you enjoy your visit.
@jasonbillam Thank you wait
Did you observe that 95% (or higher) of the streets in my home , Davao City, are really really clean? I'm so proud! You didn't get to go around the major parts of the city though and the beach resorts.
That's our Palengke! It should be messy! But look how clean it is 😇 But for us living in the city that might be considered "our messy" as the whole city is so clean 🤣
Looks way dirtier than Switzerland or Canada, sorry. There are all these pedestrians sharing the roadway with vehicles in the video. You might be comparing it to India or something.
@@-whackd You're 100% right. I'm actually here now from California USA and while the people are nice and I feel safe and welcomed. Its extremely dirty and the traffic is insane. I've been all over and its sad because you feel like they are 30 years behind.
Sir I am an American from Florida and lived in your wonderful Davao for a few years and it was the most special time of my life. Downtown area safer than outskirts where I lived also -different when you get away from city
@@-whackd that’s kinda rude & showing how privileged you are.
Your passing just beside my house 😂Welcome to Davao City🥰
