The coolant line, is that the auxiliary coolant or the normal coolant line at the top? Basically I had mine replaced and the coolant is leaking out. Not out on the ground but somewhere it’s back flowing. I was told you only move the auxiliary coolant hose when replacing the EGR valve cooler.
What I usually use is Silicone Paste and the bolts usually stick on pretty good and it’s easy to clean up. Sucks that the bolts are copper tho. BTW secondary EGR no mames 😅
Good video, Quick question pal, my 2016 X5 35d has been over heating and had to replace several parts like water pump Oil filter casing and other parts below the oil filter casing. Do you think this is related to the EGR Recall? Thanks much, Christian
There could be some blockage in the EGR cooler I’d check to see if your vehicle was affected by the recall and have the dealer inspect it. Other thing that cause over heating is the thermostat
@@Supra_Mickey they are now changing the EGR cooler as a preventative measure according to BMW, but if there was a blockage could that made the vehicle run hooter and caused all of the other seals and parts to melt ? They won’t give the EGR cooler, dealer is saying they need to send to BMW of America for review??? I think im getting ding around, dont know if I should finally see some legal advice now?
@@christianreyna7321 if they believe something can be wrong with it internally they would want the engineers at BMW of North America to look into it. This may have happened with other vehicles so they would like to figure out why a part is failing

Right one is high temperature the other is low temperature
