Funny to see the Cisco Heat video in that long list of videos. I really enjoyed your summary rant at the end of it 😆. Always really enjoy your videos and find them very well made and interesting.
You’ve got to do it for the love. I certainly don’t have time to put content out weekly, let alone daily. Our podcast has always been very popular but UA-cam takes a hell of a lot of commitment and possibly a bit of luck. I’ve always found your channel a top class production & interesting to me. 👍
Disappointed by the UA-cam Premium, I was led to believe that content creators I watched got a fair share of the monthly fees I am paying, which is how I justify it to myself.
As a random counterpoint, I did monetise to try and get youtube promotion but otherwise as you know don't cater to worldwide audiences much. My total lifetime is £185.64 as of today. My age breakdown recently is near exactly yours, as is the country except I get considerably fewer from the UK although it's still the largest. My average view time as a percentage is not dissimilar either. All of which suggests that not entirely dissimilar channels get about the same stats. That may not be science.
£4.00?!?!? You Tube monetization a joke...A lot of effort for very little reward. Subscribe to you and a lot of retro game tubers greatful for what you all do and the work you put in to give us our childhood gaming nostalgia fix
The £4 is because I do not monetise the main channel and never have. The only place I run adverts is on the non retro computer content on this 2nd channel.
If you want titles the best way to do them is offer a quick preview of the content up front then have something very short. But again I'm not having to worry about numbers of getting people through to the next ad slot.
Pretty much. I can see how people can become slaves to it and end up doing clickbaity type videos because the monster must be fed. A popular current video will feed back onto your older videos and momentum helps push the channel forward. But if you stop or slow down you don't get that push. And if you are relying on that ad money for income you have no choice but to keep pushing unless you are one of the lucky few who 'make it' and end up with a couple of million subs.
Special interest UA-cam channels (no matter how brilliant) are so passe these days. Though apparently Vegan restaurants/arcade bars is where the REAL money is at! 👍 Silliness aside. It's lovely to hear from you again, Chinny!

I'm getting flashbacks to the awfulness of the 64 version and how the Speccy version refused to run on a standard 128 or grey +2.
@@chinnyvision2 Yes I would be surprised if you didn't have nightmares for a month after having to play that 64 version! Best wishes.

From my 1 month experiment with 4 videos, it was tiny.
@@chinnyvision2 Ah, only on monetised videos. That makes sense I suppose.
well i am 56 and been watching since before COVID so I might be your oldest viewer woohoo, er hang on ....?
Ooh, spicy

Still haven't bothered trying to claim that money mind, they make it such a ballache.

I am one of your viewers in Japan. I'm not Japanese, though.
I like the titles, shame they cost views.

So basically you have to delete anything to do with having a normal life and slave every day on new videos to get anywhere.

Enjoy the Premium money, go treat yourself to a few penny chews.
So you're rich then from UA-cam (or maybe not!)
4 quid that I can't get at.
I wish funky spectrum was still on UA-cam
