Me going "Why does everyone hate Leo, Slayer, and Sin" Also me robbing people with Leo backturn super, Slayer in general, Sin in general. "I just don't get it"
I really like these breakdowns that actually put the character into context, which I find a lot of "why X character is broken/weak" videos don't do. It helps so much to understand when you just add in details like "Most characters don't get to do this" "Most characters don't get this kind of reward off of this kind of move" or "Most characters are able to do this and this character can't."
As was written by the 7 Forefathers of Neutral, commandment no. 41, as it reads: "Thou shall not have a DP with a follow-up. If it is blocked, take the L" How times have changed...
Every xrd player minding their own business with "fuck it" YRC in neutral and all of a sudden they get impaled by some 5 year old screaming "BEAK DURIVAAAHHH!"
Yup they're a lot better too. Sadly Strive gimped all of the character's movesets to make them more "accessible". Some of them for the better (Zato, Jack-O???), most of them for the worst (basically everyone else).
I looked at Sin's hitboxes on Beak Driver and I got stunlocked I won't label a character I don't understand in a game I barely play "broken" or OP by any means but the sideways pine tree hitboxes look hilarious
Wanna know something funny?? There are normals that both can and will snuff Beak Driver out. At least in Strive lol. If you mean Xrd, I ain't got nun to say lmao cuz I haven't played it much
@@free_playstation_2 yeah its pretty funny, even as a sin enthusiast lmao. definitely not op bc of the charge time, but its definitely really fucking funny to look at ESPECIALLY from the outside looking in
Answer's conversion ability was crazy when he could IAD combo off of regular hit 5H. In Rev 2.1 they took that out and now he has very awkward conversions in the sense that many of his regular far range pokes only lead into either a slight frame advantage or a card setup.
@@chimps121 Yes I realized. I started out in Strive and ended up quitting it for XRD, I grew to really dislike how most hits in Strive lead to damage, while in XRD characters have more nuanced ways of pushing their advantage off of pokes and low reward hits.
The main weakness of his dp is that it's 1f active, so quite easy to backdash with a huge counter hit recovery on whiff People were basically option selecting backdash when safe jumping, which would "lose" to his own backdash but it was a relatively safe option
I like the look of Strive Sin and from the looks of his moves he might be my type of character. I'd never play his Xrd version, just hate his clothes and his moves look wack too. His reveal was probably the most unhype for me, but at least his makeover makes him more appealing.
Dawg the only time I've seen people HATE hate on Sin is if they play Potemkin or something. He gets the average amount of character hate that even chars like Potemkin and Axl get Elk *can* theoretically be plus, but due to its "auto tracking" property, hitting it meaty is basically next to impossible, so it's usually even. It did used to be +1 though, meaning you kinda had to IB it to try and take your turn back, and taking your turn back on IB was harder too. His mix actually got stronger than what you showed here too, if you use his multi-hitting jH like Gotenks jL (but keep that one a secret, for all us Sin players)
"Why people hate sin?" Well you see it's cause you got to play this thing called neutral and we know how players (especially American fgc)feel about that.
I don't really understand where the "GG players hate any character other than theirs" joke comes from. To me it doesn't seem any different from the other FGC groups I've seen in terms of how much like/dislike there is of other characters. The group I learned the game with back in college liked most of the cast with a few exceptions they hated fighting against, which is how it's been in most game groups I've played with. Like, personally? Slayer's my favorite and closest to "main" character, but I like pretty much everybody on the cast. The only character I really hate fighting in every version of GG is Eddie/Zato, and I don't enjoy matching up against Happy Chaos or Raven, but that's kinda it. Everyone else I find something fun in the matchup, even if I'm getting my ass handed to me. Is it just a meme or what?
GG players didn't want Testament in Strive because they were scared he'd be just as good as he was in +R. I've never heard SF players say they didn't want Sagat or Akuma in the next SF game simply because they were good in ST.
@@lordknightfgc Huh. Well, I'll take your word for it-I've never played anything but 100% casual so I'm probably just not in a competitive enough scene to see it.
@@lordknightfgc For sure! Context on Xrd characters fills in a knowledge gap for me, as I've mostly played XX and Strive and kinda skipped Xrd in between. So I *definitely* don't know anything about Answer. xD
You should do one of these videos for every Strive DLC. If it's a completely new character, just make shit up. "Yeah I hated fighting Asuka in Xrd"
Asuka’s f.S being +2 was complete bullshit im glad he got nerfed in Revelator
can't believe they thought Asuka having a teleport with a hitbox being plus on whiff was a good idea
The fact he had a full screen reversal beam super that did 30% in chip and 70% on hit was so stupid.
plus the 30% extra damage against Sol and emotional damage made it a dumby 9-1 matchup, ya know what 10-0 fight me.
I can not believe that they just copipasted Asuka from Nine. Really glad that they changed his moveset in ST a bit
A simple Guilty Gear flowchart:
How do you feel about [insert character name]?
Option 1: I main them
Option 2: I hate them
Me going "Why does everyone hate Leo, Slayer, and Sin"
Also me robbing people with Leo backturn super, Slayer in general, Sin in general. "I just don't get it"
Guilty gear players just don’t like getting memed on by BEAKU DRIVAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yamete..
It's true I fucking hate it

their character
Well yeah. Guilty gear players hate any character that isn't thier. Unless it's a mirror, then also fuck that character.

Yeah. Things changed a lot after 2002
I don't know who said it, I think it was sajam. But there was a spot before the 2nd hit of the dp where the bot went into a neutral state.
"Who actually knows anything about Answer?" I wanna say that the two Answer players in the world are just as lost as the rest of us.

Wow what a nice nod to the past
They added it in Rev 2 I believe.

All GG players hate every character except their own. That's the simple answer, lol.
