Eumelanin is composition of two forms a) DHI derived eumelanin thatvis dark brown to black b) DHICA derived eulmelanin that is light and copolymerisation between them with variation in their ratio determines variation of skin color among white, black and brown people. Pheomelanin on the other hand is a melanin formed by copolymerisation of DHI and DHICA eumelanins and imparts yellow to reddish/pinkish color to lips, vagina, glans of penis, nipples etc but Pheomelanin sometimes can be present in hair and skin, like among redheads, imoarting red/orange tinge to their hair and often to their skin as well. Pheomelanin is not not responsible for difference in skin color (pale, brown, darkbrown, black etc) among white people, brown people and black people.
