Thank you so much! I had a meniscus root surgery a week and a half ago and I was wondering what all I should be doing to help recovery. This video helps me to see that the recovery is going to be a slow, long process. I really appreciate the education!
Did you have a well recovery? Are you back to your rotine? I have a surgery scheduled for july and I1m trying to find someone that has passed through all the recovery phase.
Well I’m in week 5 now post surgery there’s no end to the swelling in foot and leg in spite of icing and leg elevation. I’m told swelling can last 6-12 months! How can there be full weight bearing if your foot is swollen?
Super helpful video. I'm having this surgery in a week and a 1/2. The info in particular about why we can't weightbear after compared to the traditional repair. Is that why my doctor told me it'd be 9-12 months before return to sports? (Bjj)

I am 72 years ,my knee meniscus has Moved off its floor,is there any way I Can avoid surgery and do physical therapy exercises. Thank you 😊
Before surgery. I not have any pain.but mri shows lateral meniscus root tear. After I went for surgery.9 month completed. But now I have pain and can't walk properly 😕. Now I have developed foot pain and back pain
How far along in recovery can you flex under compression and load beyond 90 into deep flex? Like competitive mogul skiing, jumping off steps and landing fully squatting and compressed with body weight?

Do all root tears need surgery? My doctor dose not what to do surgery as I have no pain or discomfort. But the MRI shows a root tear.
