The man wearing the artificial limb brought me to tears. People really limit themselves based on personal beliefs. So amazing too see him out there

it was just simply the most amazing experience I've ever had in my life. From jumping off the 35 foot cliff at 2am in the morning, to freezing my butt off in the cold water at hump chuck. I gotta say, that memory will live with me till I die.
+dotnetguru99 Any advice? Im doing my first this year.....
+nucibus Good wetsuit, I used at 3/4 full. Good socks, I used injiji toe socks and smartwool socks on top of those. Good cold water wetsuit gloves and hood. Be prepared for warm temps in the day that can lead to dehydration, and cold temps at night that can lead to hypothermia :)

+Faux Name (Mcstylez) Perhaps not a lot of regular mudders, but in general you should be able to run for long periods of time, and know how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable.

Every single one of these people has a parking spot in my mind and will never leave. Absolute queens and kings. What an event, what a community!

Hrk583 only thing that is crazy expensive is the ticket. Gear isn't too bad. You can get by with buying a $100 wetsuit, baselayers, headlamps, fuel and etc. I worked a couple 70+ hour weeks to afford this trip though. Gotta put the work in. Going to be fun! 2 weeks till blast off!
It's a badass event. Hopefully I'll be back next year
Its been 4 years, have you yet? I need to know, but I sure hope so. Keep grinding for it if you haven't.

How can we score in this marathon
Holy hell I'm in the documentary! :) Most AMAZING thing I've ever done.... thought I'd be satisfied with doing this once, but a week after the race (my dumbass donated my wetsuit and a lot of other gear, and now I have to buy it all over again... FML), I was more obsessed than ever and I HAVE to do it again (must get 50 miles this time!).... I'm by no means an "expert", but I have a much better idea of what I need this time, and more importantly, what I don't need (brought WAY too much stuff!)....

This documentary seemed rushed with little creativity. I like that they highlight the non-competitive mudders, but I'd like to see the competitive field a bit more. WTM is a championship event of course and this doesn't really highlight those key moments. 2012 and 2013 documentaries are a prime example.
+Gene Strong Most of us just want a highlight video, and not to wait 8 months for it to come out. BUT, I wouldn't be surprised if they release a second version down the road, similar to what they did in 2013. I have a feeling that down the road they'll have a more detailed video. Their video production is mostly all in house now, so they can release multiple packages at little to no extra cost.
Can't wait to be old enough to be a tough mudder me and my climbing team want to do it together go mudders ! (:

+SuperDanny12321 As I said above, I foresee additional video packages being released down the road. This was a highlight video for those of us who just want a highlight video, and not to wait 8 months on it. I bet they'll release polished rah rah materials down the road as they try to drum up support/entries for 2016 WTM. Most of us said to just release the highlight video they showed at the brunch, I think this is their answer to that request. Obviously this time with copyright free music, lol.

19stalkern I didn't stick around either, left Sunday night, but I got to see a boot legged copy of the video they played at the brunch.
Benjamin Steeples.....If you go this year, you should leave Monday instead.... staying that extra night was blissful (not having to clean/return my tent until the next day).... I passed out for 13 hours. I'm so jacked to do it again!
