    Sis I think you should start cutting off the ends bit by bit, like every 3 months cut off two inches until all the damage is gone. Over the years I've learned that once hair is damaged there is no going back especially if its color date or heat damage. All the best, looking forward to your videos :)

    I did blonde for a year and I saw a difference. Aphogee treatment? I swear by it! Every 6/7 weeks do it and you NEED a bottle of the Balancing Moisture stuff. That little packet does nothing for all the hair you have.
    Also next time put the aphogee treatment in an applicator bottle, it's easier to apply.
    Wait til all of it is dry, like crispy dry. And wash it out, use that balancing stuff by sections and rinse out. And keep those ends trimmed, your hair will bounce back! No lie!

      It's usually the lifting or bleaching that damages your hair. Because you breakdown the fatty acids in your hair shaft which make your hair brittle & fragile like a newborn baby. If she had just dyed her hair red without bleaching she'd mostly not be going through this.
      Natural dyes & dyes with no peroxide or ammonia are much more gentler & safe. I have been dyeing my hair with henna (natural herb), iroiro dyes (vegan) & other similar no harsh chemical products since I was 16 & I'm 38. I've been researching a new brand crown paint colors & I think I'm going to try them out.

    Jess, we’re here for you girl! With an Aphogee treatment 1) use a spray bottle to avoid some of the mess, 2) never comb it through, just apply in small sections to evenly distribute, 3) sit under a dryer for 30minutes for optimal penetration, and 4) the balance moisturizer is not necessary. It doesn’t have enough oils to do anything with our thick hair. just use your favorite moisturizing deep conditioner to bring back balance to your strands. I recommend cutting half an inch of hair every month and you’ll be back to a full head of healthy hair in no time 😊

  • @jaydahteaunna

    Jess, I’m not sure if you read my last comment but one thing that I’ve heard is that whenever you permanently color your hair, you are suppose to continue to color it regularly even if it is a gloss coat in order to have the cuticle remained sealed. If you do not, your cuticle will open and your hair will become dry/damaged & break. I don’t know how accurate it is but it makes sense. I have experienced what you are experiencing before because of the color and thats the feedback I got from stylist. She was also a cosmetology instructor for 20+ years.

    • @teancoffee208
      @teancoffee208 4 роки тому

      I can only comment on the first half of your first sentence: After using permanent dye you're supposed to use temporary hair dye to keep the color from fading (after constant washes, and sun fading), which would also help with the transition from colored hair back to your natural hair color by making the change look less dramatic (more of a fade from color to natural). Constantly using permanent hair dye to color your hair when it just needs a little color boost can damage your hair and make it hard/stiff.

    • @jaydahteaunna
      @jaydahteaunna 4 роки тому

      @@teancoffee208 I do not believe a gloss coat will cause any damage to your hair but help seal the cuticle. Also, it should be done every 4 months. If you are taking care of your color treated hair in between gloss coats or touch ups every week and even daily, deep conditions, treatments, etc.. you should be fine.

I have a video of this treatment on my channel and it took a few applications until I seen some results. One thing I can say is that after 3 treatments it made my curls pop and less shedding. Henna also does the same too! Henna will tint your hair though. Natural henna acts as a protein treatment and color. Henna is just really messy though lol. I have a video on that too. Girl, you've been missed. Lemme see what's going on here now 👀 Okay, so yeah, definitely don't need that drastic chop... Again. Your hair will continue to flourish so long as you're re-introducing things you used to that may have stunted health when you stopped - certainly doesn't warrant a whoooleee big chop to where the black part is. Go at your own pace, and slowly transition if that's what YOU are more comfortable with, however if you're also ready to dive into another big chop, then go girl. At the end of the day it's you and your hair. We are all here for you, sis, no matter what the journey brings.

    Girl good luck with your journey, my hair is damaged still but it's moisturized I don't like my hair now and I missed the way it was when it was black and healthy so I will be cutting my hair sometime before the year is up or in January

  • @curlyhairmommie

    I think your hair turned out great, and it’s not too damaged. With weekly steam treatments and trim only when needed...you should be good!!! My hair did the same from blow drying (for braided styles), and bound right back after I steamed regularly.

    COMEE ON GURL YOU GOT THIS!!! Give yoself a nice trim for those ends and keep your mane moisturized! We believe in you sis

  • @dainasmith0395
    @dainasmith0395 4 роки тому +5

    Lol. Yes continue with the treatments... But snip off an inch per month. Nobody will notice. And you'll gradually end your torture and have healthy hair.
    I don't recommend a big chop if you have no experience with short hair... that can be a whole other struggle. Just think of it as trimming your hair, but just doing it monthly. You'll see the diff.
    Been there. Nobody noticed. Eventually when the bleached ends where gone, someone said, "Wait, didn't you have coloured hair?" I was even asked if I was wearing fake hair. I was known for always changing my hair colour. I have 4b - 4c hair. Majority of it was bleached. And I bleached it multiple times esp when attempting to change the colour.
    You'll be just fine. It'll grow back.

    You know what I like it I'm definitely thinking about purchasing that product or some type of protein treatment I honestly never do protein treatments I only deep condition but I definitely have that dry feeling thing going on since I've colored my hair girl you better not cut that beautiful hair it definitely looks a lot more moisturized than what it did a couple of videos.

    Maybe some box braids styles and clip ends probably 2-3 inches at a time. If you do decide to just chop it try the Rizzo or Rizu cut or a cute long tapered style. Also I went through the wanting color to switch it up with my natural hair phase as well. Maybe in the future possibly try dying just a good length of the ends, a small section, or try just a few highlights which will prevent needing to chop or make a drastic change if ish go 👈🏾... also you can always utilize hair color wax & and weave. Color treated hair just requires alot of maintenance including avoiding alot of alcohol based products. I know you know your hair though but it seems like most naturals with our hair type run into this problem eventually after color treatment. You got this though sis!

    Jess do what you feel is best. I have read many of the comments and there are some really good ideas - ways you can do the big chop and still have longer hair (crochet styles & wigs)
    If you think this will help then do this for a while. You've been doing videos long enough to know if the damage is repairable or not 😉🙂
